lol im curious about this toothpick hehe
Dead zone only helps so much, because as soon as you breach the threshold, the sensitivity kicks in.
It would be nice to have is be less sensitive the closer you are to center so you can move in smaller increments when close, and faster rotation when far from center.
Any tips?
Working for me now after doing this - Thank you!
i hope they do add more refined options for us hotas users
at the moment all i can think of is using software apps like in my case for my hotas its the thrustmaster T.A.R.G.E.T (havent used it yet for X4..too lazy) or joystick curves which was the first software i used for my first hotas
I was able to turn down the senstivity overall in the x52 app. I will test this shortly.
You can configure individual "bands" in the software, also. Effectively, they are percentages you move the joystick (1 - 33%, 34 - 66%, 67 - 100% for example). However, I am unable to configure the sensitivity for each band, which would be ideal, and sounds just like the joystick curves which you are talking about.
yep tips i asume you have the pitch roll rotate on the wrong bindings, in settings go to controls then general and bind the movements to the ones at the top of the list primary steering axis, secondary steering etc.
I made the same mistake in the beginning aswell ><
after that i changed the deadzone aswell and the sensitivity to 100 ><
The controls are all mapped properly. Everything works great except for the sensitivity being far too touchy.
Works great.
I either use bi-dir throttle but then the full stop is somewhere in the middle air, hard to achieve. Or I don't use bi-dir throttle but then I have no reverse and the detent makes the ship constantly flying.
That's hardly "perfect" (it's on the edge of unusable really).
I can't find the zeroing function Elite has. Or at least it should be set to 20% for X52.
You can also bind a button for full stop (eng off?) anyway without Bidir thr you can also bind a button to reverse throttle (if i remember correctly from what ive seen in the controls)
Yes, thats what I did. Bind a button to reverse engines, and if you hold it in, it, well, reverses engines 👍
