Game Will Not Start
As title suggests, game won't start. Steam will say it is running for about 3 seconds then nothing. I have validated files twice. Have tried launching both inside and outside steam. Really want to play this game. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Post system specs and GFX card/driver info from "dxdiag".

Also check out the Pinned Crashing Post above. It might set you in the correct direction.

I fixed it myself. For anyone else with this problem, here is what I did:

1. Download Valkan installer (the larger version, the correct one should be around 300 mb)
2. Go to device manager, display, then update your GeForce graphics cards to newest version

Game will start after that.

EDIT: Typo. Never once heard of Valkan before now, didn't know how to spell it either.

Goto https://developer.nvidia.com/vulkan-driver (under Release Driver Downloads), you can then detect which one is needed and dowload. Mine was 500MB

Same, 7700k 1070 32gb(ram) tried on both SSD HDD and hybrid drives. Just fails to load.
Gone through and updated and rolled back drivers. spent about 2-3 hours on this... trying to figure it out. Well their goes my weekends plans.
Have followed all the default clear download cache, etc etc steps nothing. just fails to load the process.

Launching directly from x4 gives me
"The code Execution cannot proceed because vulkan-1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem."
Have reinstalled ... twice so an extra 19gb downloaded.. for same problem Reinstalled drivers and driver packages (a further 3gb).

jesus Same problems again from the x series. give it 4 weeks and you'll have beta tested it finally. So bloody annoying its not funny.

Edit - Got it working - disabled Some settings to do with opengl
