Report a translation problem
It's like an extra click for nothing.
It lets you click on and look at other things without breaking your target lock. I'd find it really annoying if everything I clicked on the map I automatically targeted.
Just wish they had better quick reference help in game, or a proper manual/FAQ for basic crap like this. There's a lot to remember when climbing the learning curve.

I can lock it and go back to the map, but as soon as I touch the XB1 left or right stick it clears the target lock. If I steer by mouse it's ok. Unless it's a conflict somewhere.
