No destination path line to target and How to see Ship vitals easily?

Hi all,

I have a couple of questions to ask,

Firstly, when I initially set destinations in my game, you get a line to that destination showing you the path set to said destination, I had this at first but this now appears to have dispeared? I still have the destination point, but I dont have any path to that destination not really giving me a good idea how far it is beyond gates. Have I derped this off accidently or have I run into a bug here? preferbly Id like to have the lines back leading to my destination on the map but I cant find an option or a hot key anywhere...

Secondly is there an easy way to view your own ships vitals? Such as when you EVA you target your ship you can see hull and shield...but when in your ship you can only see the targeted ships vitals? Is there a way to self target so my window pops up in the bottom right showing my ships vitals? This became apparant in a fleet battle in a sector with ticking damage, I was taking hits and taking DOT, but I had no way to tell what my vitals were to my knowledge in a fast paced engagement....but I could only tell what the enemies shield/hull was but not my own! Concequentially I died :(

Love this game so far but really want to know if I can resolve these two things

Shift + G for guidance to selected object.
or you can right click and select guidance from the context menu

That's in the order those half circles are displayed. Boosting eats your shields. I have yet to find a way to numerically display this information like in X3 and I miss it.

As to your guidance, I don't know I usually just fly straight to the yellow circle. If you accept a new mission it'll set that as your 'active' mission so you can just set the previous one to active to get it back, otherwise maybe setting it as inactive and active again will force the game to give you the yellow line.

As the the guidance im aware on how to set guidance to an object, however there did used to be be a yellow line on the map overview from your ship to the guidance point, my line appears to have disapeared?

It's working fine for me when I set guidance to anything and I've not really noticed it vanishing (not paid attention either though) maybe try saving and restarting to see if that helps?

hmmm have you used any filter options, open up the filter menu "top right corner" make sure you didnt disable anything.
If not that click the recentering icon also top right area, if that doesnt work maybe save game and reload.
Also of course make sure you have guidance activated to an object, it will show as an exclamation ! point on the map.

Just an update, the guidance appeared to be a bug, after restarting the application the guidance line appeared again, thanks all

I am having tghe same problem as you, and restarting did not help me at all :( I have no idea what to do.

Update: I found the problem for me, this seems to happen when you have the Weapon Configuration set wrong on your ship by checking the Primary and Secondary boxes.

It is amazing to me that...this many years later and this but STILL exists. Thanks to Jaheem666 for the fix though. It worked.
