Color coded hexes are resource areas.
2) Red, Purple etc.. denote resources like gas or ores, 3) here is where resource probes become handy.
4) Top right hand corner of the map, there is a filter search box, underneath the settings for the filters for the map. If you have discovered so many stations try to zoom out and play with the filters to try and find a good deal. Also if you see stations under construcction they will need materials. You can fly into asteriods and look for shiny things that you can blast with your initial weapon and then sell to traders in stations.
5) Make sure no other hardware is plugged like a steering wheel and so on, also check this settings:
There are a few things to check that may help your issues with joysticks in game options.
- Adjust the dead zones 5 %
- Gamepad mode OFF
- Confine mouse to window ON
- Adaptative steering ON
- Bidirectional throttle ON
I understand this conceptually, of course.
What I'm saying is I've done this, and I cannot find ANY commodity that ANY station is willing to pay for more than the price of what it is sold.
Why?
Red seems to be a lot of Asteroids and some Gas to me?
Perfect lines of sight, no to limited atmospheric interference (there do somee to be clouds some places) and the radio is only good within 10 km. Soo... I have to conclude that we have heath kit 1960s' walkie talkies as our comm board.
Another mystery... you get periodic small ships that are red... I tend to kill them. One time I get a rep boost and a reward, I do it again to another I see... And my crime is logged and I take a rep hit. I can't understand why.
I have seen them on ice asteroids its just so rare compared to ore asteroids that I don't know why I'm even telling you this.
This happens around stations. I make sure that when I'm shooting at one of these "recently identified criminals" I don't have the station _behind_ my target. If you shoot past, miss, etc, all that will be identified as attacking a station and a crime.
