How to hire a builder?

Hey,
I'm currently working on the HQ plot, and I'm supposed to hire a builder. But as there is no builder around so hiring from the construction site direktly does not seem to work. Also when in a system with a builder talking to them on the comms or on their bridge does not help.

In the map there is a Hire option in the pupup menue the builders but it is greyed out with a placeholder text as info. Which does not help as it is just numbers to refer to the correct text to be placed there. So I'm sure, I'm missing some requirement but I have no idea what

Could anyone shed some light on this for me.

Builder is large ship. I think there might be an option to hire one if you can find one flying around. Otherwise you'll need to buy it and put crew on it.

Do the tutorial on ship modes, there you will learn how to scan a station.
The signals you find there will give you missions or blueprints, or the plot you are looking for.

You can open the map and look for a builder NPC within your vision (either you or something you own) and hire it via the builders section on the station construction menu

Some of the steps needed are counter intuitive. I've been hailing con ships randomly trying to find one that'll build for me.

But that does also make sense for the Build Order section
