My ship keep panning in a direction when idle.
So my ship when on M/KB controls will just rotate left all the time when not touching anything and it happens on the map aswell. When i switch to HOTAS its all good even on map. What setting would be causing this i cant seem to locate it.

So was I...until I disabled Gamepad Mode.

To be clear, using old Sidewinder FF2 joystick, and keyboard / mouse. I'd bound my MMB to mouselook (toggle). I was sitting in space, perfectly still, no mouse steering...and my viewpoint wasn't changing at all. I'd go into mouselook, and as soon as i toggled it off again (with mouse pointer dead centre) it was as if I was drifting, and only a little input (e.g. strafe down) would stop it.

I switched off Gamepad mode, and voila! No more drifting.

In case it also helps, I also couldn't find out how to clear a keybind - DEL does the trick.

Did you enable steer with mouse by pressing shift + space?

Disable Autoroll in Game Settings.

Sadly that was not it either. The weird part is my HOTAS has no issues. As soon as i touch the mouse then the sliding/panning/rolling starts just keeps going the same direction. So i disconnected every single USB from my PC and it still did it. So i guess its just a bug idk.

Try updating your mouse drivers if you can.

@Supes Yup and i tried Shift+space aswell. I tried to use another control profile aswell. No change either. So when i click M to open map i want to use the mouse to navigate cause its easier. But the screen will just keep dragging downleft for some reason. So i cant possible select a moving target on the map cause not only do my camera move but the ship is aswell.

Had the same problem. Deactivating "Adaptive Steering" under Controls solved it for me.

Try that, see if it works...
