Money save edit

Just in case anyone is wondering. It is the same as X:Rebirth.

The difference is that the files seem larger than XR and are zipped.

Delete the .zip file after editing, not the xml.

Cheating is dumb, especially for a new game. It's like paying to see a movie then only going in to watch the end. Effort is proportional to reward. Cheating just shortcuts the experience and leaves you with no feeling that you've earned it.

Some people play Elite dangerous and have enough of hauling a cargo from one place to the other. Therefore they give themselves a bit boost and do something they can,ot do in Elite. eg. Building own freaking empire :D

your opinion doesn't matter, because everyone and anyone can play however they like..

Make all the excuses you want it doesn't change anything. I had a friend that used to bot D3 paragon into the thousands using the same excuse. His bot could outpace my natural progression by a factor of at least 3x and he would barely play much of the season afterwards as a result. You're just cheating yourself.

I play elite and enjoy it for different reasons. In this game i can edit the game files because i find it more fun. This was just in case anyone was wondering. No one carees what you think about cheating. Enjoyment is subjective.

To each there own I guess. At least you can start testing out mid game for us and make sure it works correctly. Station building, capitals, etc

Same here... I searched the whole save for the original amount of money and all that came up was the strings in the video so there is nothing wrong with my editing.

It is as if the game is keeping the real saves somewhere else and the ones in "my documents" are just to fool with us. Or more possibly there is a checksum or encrypted value that stores money value and overwrites it on load.

OP did you try it yourself? Because it is definitely not working.

Use CheatEngine or see if there's a trainer from MrAntifun.

Make sure you delete the zip file.

It wont be out for a while. If the .zip, ie: origional save file is present in the folder, It will chose the .zip over the .xml file.

... Its a multiplayer game.. X4 is a singleplayer game in which the player can play how ever they want.. I really don't understand why people care one way or the other when people feel like they have to tell others how they should enjoy their singleplyaer experience.

You must edit in save file lines:

player name="Selaia Tarren" location="{20004,470011}" money="here amount "/
<account id="[0xee]" amount="here amount"/>

And disable steam cloud
