Controls on hoytas TM1600M and Throttle
I am certain that it is user error. However, the controls feel very basic. Here is what I am seeing. If anyone else has figured out how to make things work properly, I would appreciate your assistance.

Roll: Setup the roll to Z-axis. When you release, it rolls back
Unable to target stations or jump points. I have target object mapped to look axis up. Next target to look access right. When I point at the station and say target object, it refuses to ever target the station or jump point.

Strafe forward/back are strongly needed. Seriously, let me go forward just a little bit instead of trying to increase speed, decrease. increase, decrease.

On my throttle, on space games, I love to have my strafe keys attached to buttons. up/down left/right, then my forward/back is the axis that is like a trigger. Here, I have to use a axis, which again on other space games, that one I use to look around and stuff.

If anyone has gotten their stuff to work correctly, please share how!

And no, it's really not fair to expect this space game to be able to setup like other space games. However, I currently play 3, and it is really nice when I am able to setup every game to be controlled the same, so mistakes don't happen.

How did you get the T16000M to work? The game doesn't seem to recognize any input from mine.

I had to go to manage joysticks and make sure it was there.

My saitek x52pro is doing the same on roll settings. I’ve not had a chance to even play the game yet as I want the controls perfect for flight. I’m just not having much luck.

There are some pre created Hotas setups to load in the controlls settings, did you try these?

Apparently my HOTAS 16000M does not show at Manage Joysticks, so no luck there

I don't like to learn new control schemes. I play too many flying games to have different controls for each game. It is not the controls that is bad, it is the lack of controls. Also, like I said, being able to target stations. That is the most important thing for me at this time, and I haven't figured it out.

target object doesn't work. target next doesn't work.

A few things other people found helpful is to disconnect/reconnect their joystick, erase and reload joystick profile from game menu.

There are a few things to check that may help your issues with joysticks in game options.

- Adjust the dead zones 5 %
- Gamepad mode OFF
- Confine mouse to window ON
- Adaptative steering ON
- Bidirectional throttle ON

I would hope you are replying to someone else, because this has nothing to do with my issue...

Roll, disable autoroll from menu.
Target check you have gamepad mode OFF
Throttle, try having bidirectional throttle ON, or OFF depending what mode you prefer it to work.

for target, my gamepad mode is off. My throttle is fine. I would like more control over my strafe, and I really do want a strafe forward/backward.

I can target every ship in the system. I just cannot target stations or jump points.
