You say "It's not happening
O_o wasn't that from a year old QnA anyway?
He did have some pretty stellar hair.
If you have enough military/deffense, anything is possible :D Im assuming theres still going to be mines and deffensive towers? Just pile thousands of thoes all over the gates, sprinkle in some support craft for slippery/large invasions and no one will be able to get in. Youd probably make a pretty penny on all that salvage also.
Take control of the sector you choose and protect it with a suitably large fleet.
You never could before and I never cared before. It's admittedly interesting to OWN a sector (as I did in X3's XRM), but it's not at all essential to have a (player) after a sector name, I think. I'm sure it'll be done eventually if Egosoft doesn't finally do it themselves.
I want to be conan...o brien
You could be a string dancing Split in only a few more days :D
Since you custom build stations now, I don't see why you couldn't just design a station that's sole purpose is to shoot things, and doesn't produce anything. Place those next to gates!
Also if I recall my game information correctly, the governments will charge you a fee for building in their space with more prime spots costing more to build in. And I remember a dev mentioning that if you don't pay the fee the regions government will be upset.... so you could just say "no I won't pay you, this is my spot".
:O I missed that! oh man, I need to take a break from the forums lol my hype level is going..well, hyper?
Thats an exellent idea, though. Buy your time, playing all nice and when you think you can hold your own stop paying tax and rebel!
Certainly relying on modders isn't an excuse for content, but it is a solution nonetheless.
