Get a desktop? (lol)

Should be fine, but expect high temps possibly causing issues and not-so-great performance on ultimate settings.
Sorry about AuGuR comment they clearly don't know what their talking about.

Your Video card is 3.8 Times yes that be 380% worse then the recommended specs. I don't think it would go over so well sorry mate.

Really? Prove me wrong with factual evidence or retract your insult.

The 1070 recommend card is not 380% more powerful than the 960(m). Had you cited a 500-series card, you might have been right. What the OP does have to consider is whether or not the 960m they have has it's own discrete memory or if it's pulling from system memory to use for rendering.

From what I wrote above, the most TimePPP has to really worry about in playing the game is heat dissapation issues inherent to laptops and will probably see crashes as a result. The game would be playable on low or medium settings, just saying not to expect much at all on ultimate. Also, learn the difference between minimum and recommended specs, the 960 is within the minimum. So how exactly am I wrong again?

I was comparing by Minimal Specs not recommended....

Sorry your even more wrong that would be almost 500% off or 5x.

Sorry you felt like you thought was an insult.

As far as i know that X4 use a lot of XR asset and same engine. Since my laptop runs XR pretty well, why is the minimal Specs is much higher than XR (i mean video card) ?

Some of it's due to the upgraded simulated universe that is more on the CPU specs. It seems that they also enhanced the overall graphics, etc. Keep in mind they moved to the Spock Api :)

That being said maybe consider getting it and trying it. If it is too bad then refund it. The good news is your mobile video card can still use Vulkan.

Here example of Recommended, Minimal and your video card to get idea what your dealing with.

You CPU might also be effected quite a bit as well. Maybe post it's actual specs not just I7.

Its a i7-5700HQ. I dont think my cpu gonna be the problem though.

Yeah your CPU should be fine. Your CPU rating if we'll go buy that is 1999 and the minimum requirement is 2114. But sadly you're GPU as I pointed out is a big big difference. I guess if your laptop is not using 1080P or you're using a lower resolution it should help a bit but it won't make massive world ending difference. Either way you can give it a try I hope you are successful with it anyways.

Minimal difference between your i7-5770HQ and minimum spec i5-4590. it will run this game on the CPU front.

No way your GPU will ever compete, i agree with Kane on this.

You know my CPU Numbers were almost dead on right :P they were 6.5% diff yours shows 7% not sure if they go in percents but pretty much dead on haha.

A big part of It will be down to the amount of Vram, 2Gb Vram is quite outdated nowadays as developers are caching stuff as an "easy way" to optimise games.

I have a GTX960m and I bought the game. It "runs" (I have all on low, but also higher settings seemed to work), BUT after some time I get graphic glitches (~20-30min of playing I get missing textures, .... ), So it seems that the Vram is too low, although I read that the card should be able to use up to 2GB of RAM (not sure on that one), which should bring it over the 4GB.

I assume Egosoft will not spend any effort to use the VRam more efficient, or offer a lower than low setting for the graphics?!
