The best way to find out is to save at the point you want to experiment it then procede to see what the outcome would be afterwards.
If it is not to your liking, you could always return before it happened.
Myself I would try to have the same station close by and keep the peace. (when I learn enough how to do that...)
Yea, I am that way as well, I rather just get along with them then to do a save before...but to experiment on something like you talked about would be worth the outcome results.
very true
Second. What are your reasons for wresting control of the sector from MIN? What is it you hope to gain from it and do those gains outweigh the trading potential and other benefits from good relations with MIN?
Third. I believe if you were prepared and had the wherewithal to do so, then first it may be wiser to prevent any further Xenon encroachment into Argon, Teladi and Paranid space, in addition to Hatikvah's Choice (HAT).
The game does offer you a variety of war efforts to choose from. None of them involve all out war with MIN. But knock yourself out if that's your wish ;)
And btw, the simplest way to begin to exert some control over Grand Exchange is to build an administrative module first.
Thanks for the input! and i have 2 argon capital ships (the combat ones forgot the name) and a wing of heavily armed freighters and of coarse a whole bunch of fighters. i already have the admin module but then i realised there was a defense station at the jump gate.
TIP: If you get build missions for the MIN, always do them, or at least accept them and do them when you can (they don't expire). More MIN stations mean more opportunity to raise your rep with them.
The behemoth is a good destroyer and I recently used one versus 5 type K Xenons and it won, but I lost all of the supporting frigates and fighters. In other words, expect heavy fighter losses in a destroyer battle ;)
But, you never answered the important question... what would be your motivation to fight MIN for one sector when there are battles being fought elsewhere?
because in my game the xenon are in heavy advance and they are closing fast the only thing i can do now is dig in and hope for the best
As to the xenon, no, don't dig in. Meet them head on and push them back to their own sector jump gates. And then, take the fight to their sectors. Don't dig in and wait for them to come to you.
the thing is the teladi are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ either way an di am running low on resources i had 4 destroyers and several capital ship grade freighters, i lost them in a head on fight in silent witness (i know very close)
but you're seriously telling me you took large freighters into battle? o.O
It's no wonder you're running low on resources if you keep throwing your logistical vessels away.
You had 4 destroyers and now you have 2 plus a bunch of fighters. You make no mention of any frigates and you're asking about making war on MIN, when a known Xenon threat is heading your way... think about it.
How do you make money?
You need trade and trading partners, but you're intent on killing off a local and lucrative source of income.
i kno w i know but i am becoming desperate my station is under attack every 10 minutes and i lose a trader every hour thats why i want to lock down this sector to keep my resources safe an then send out battlegroups against the xenon
Build more! Build in more than one sector!
Stop sending freighters into battle... they should be avoiding conflict at all costs. They're your bread and butter.
Are you trolling or are you serious? I hope it's trolling, because it is funny, but if you're serious, I'm done here.
gonna be honest i am a new player and i have about 30 hours in this character i neglected the war with the xenon and now i pay the price, i have 2 other stations but they are production station the don't have that much combat capability on of them is also in grand exchange and the other is in argon prime and is my main source of income. and about the freighters i learned my lesson they are now as far away from the front line as possible. i am now constructing 2 argon frigates to come escort my destroyers and i am now trying to get a small ship shipyard online in grand exchange. i created this discussion for help so i hope you have some more tips.
