Trading - Buy/Sell order
Im just starting with trading. Is there no way to buy wares from a station in advance and then go pick it up? Also, is there a way to queue waypoints for myself, or do I have to remember who I am going to sell the product too?

If you have hired a pilot (which you should if you haven's) have them in the chair, then order them to trade with the stations you want, in the order you want. You can change the order around if you would like after the fact too under the ships info, second tab and use the up and down arrow buttons to move the orders...er...order. Don't get back in the seat and let him fly it and get XP.

Get yourself a fast ship and manage the traders from there.

If you are looking to do the trades yourself, I don't think there is a way to set the order. Besides, for you to do it, the prices and availability of wares will change while you are dealing with the previous order.

Control all of your ships via the Map screen and your Owned Property ship listing.
Simply select a ship and then right click and choose an action. So for trading, use the filters to find the commodity at best known price, zoom to the station and right click it, select trade with station.
There is absolutely no need to do this in person. You manage your fleet and have pilots to do the flying/trading/exploring etc.
Once you have Teleportation researched, you can then teleport to any ship, anywhere and may then take over the pilot seat, but save that for situations that might require a human touch such as Data Vault discovery, combat, data leak scans and so on.
Also invest into satelites. Run to some stations and deploy them there. If you are low on cash you can use a scout ship to update trade offers. Trade data will get outdated after a while if there is no visual range. Also once you hit 10 rep with faction you can buy a trade license (it shows all trade stations of a specific faction). Trade license is expensive -- but it can save you a lot of money later in game.

If you want to trade a specific ware, you can use game filter for a specific ware or use nothing, low, med, high stock button. Some goods are very slow consumed so also keep eye on them.
If you cant find a station to sell that ware -- do not buy it.

One thing people dont know, but you can chain trade orders.
Buy max of one thing on X station --) Sell all on that station
Buy next shipment --) sell to another
Buy again --) sell to another
Save this option once you get a super large trade ship that can move more wares.

Also, only use 3 start pilots for trading. Buy like 10 cheap scout ships --- then fire a crappy trade captain and move 3 star captain to the trade ship (vendor a scout).
If you own some trade stations you can move the 0-1 star captains to slave work.

Now the more important part -- training your manager:
*Buy a curier and put a 3 star captain you want as manager --- set auto trade only high tech goods
*Once he hits at least 2 stars as manager --) land on station and tell him to work as manager
*Move a new 3 star captain to curier (i recomend to make it as hard as possible to kill -- give it mods even)
*Repeat a process

And last thing:
Click on empire overview --) doubleclick global standing orders

Leave police scans as they are (just remove -- tell me if i get scanned button)
Set pirate as run away
Set ships -- capture (no reminder)

Be sure each of your traders has at least one marine.
I buy 10 Odessy's at the Argon Wharf in Argon Prime and I usually get 3 or 4 stars Captain's, and the Marines are rated at 12, 14, some are 6 or 8. After I stick them on a Cerb and Trade Ship (s), I then have a resuppy of Hull Parts and Engines delivered to the station on a rotating basis. That will resupply what I need for the next round of ships of Captains.

If the red shows up on the not enough resources available then you need to go short on the amount of ships you order (The AI will supply you most of what you need after a while in the game, all you will need to do is supply what it cannot)

Buy all your ships with HIGH Setting!!

I then have the ships with a low rated Captain Sold for 200,000 or more Cr. then what I paid for it, without shields and weapons, engines are low rated and as thrusters are, the rest is sold before selling the ship, I get around 89,000 for it but I still make a profitsss on the sold weapon systems on it.

Rinse an repeat....

If the ships get inside the Dock area where they are not in the bays, just have the current Captain fly outside and back into the bays, you can still transfer the High rated Captains to your Trade Ships and Cerbs, (they have nice shields and if loaded with MK2 Bolt guns and Beams and Bolt Guns for the Turrets, You have a very nice ship that can kill most any ship in squads or by themselves)

You can even land of it and IF loaded with Drones only, you have a massive killing machine on the cheap.

Do not have the Trade Options on the ships you want to fight, as they will buy stuff and fill up the ship, and never sell it.

I use a Nolan Ship for my rotating missions and its rated at almost 400ms speed, with four MK2 bolt guns, it will kill small X and Z ships if you just fly slower and aim at them, those guns will rip them to space dust.

It has a travel speed of almost 4000, and it will get you to where you want to be quickly.

Just try not to engage more than one ship at a time. Crossfire will get you quickly.

You create squads by going to the ship you have that is highly rated and have them JOIN you, then the others (7) ((If you want them to always fly in V Formations)) and then create your different squads for each one then create the next ones you want through out your divisions.

Some Formations require a different number of ships in it, I have found out that devideing it evenly works well. One ship will always be required to be a leader. The more times you have a number of ships doing just that formation, you will increase your star rating, so they will stay in it longer throughout the time you have them in it.

Practice makes Perfect.

You mean the ware reservation mechanic that happens by default for all queued buy and sell orders?

Sounds like you are trying to do something the game does not intend you to do. Leave trading to AI captains of your ships while you fly around in a combat or scout ship.
I have a question about reservation. If I set my trading ship to buy something for 100$ and sell it for 160$. But it take like 5 minutes to sell it. The 160$ is reserved? Or it can change with time. Because it gonna say 60$ profits, but is it really accurate? In X3 AP, the prices changed during the time we get to the station.
