Fleet managment
Hello!

Not sure if this has been mentioned unless i just overlooked a post.

Is the fleet management going to be worked on in order to assign MINING and TRADE fleets?

I assign multiple mining ships to a fleet however the subordinates just "protect" and there isn't a option to have them either reflect the commanders commands OR to go out to mine/trade. Thanks for listening!

P.S Im not sure if this next question pertaining to trade/miners was intentional or not.
Ive noticed there is no range to trade or sell for pilots below 3 stars. Also the range when you have 3+ stars seems very limited.

This does not work as soon as i get up from pilots seat the subordinate goes back to ESCORT status. Also the range to sell wares is still quite limited.

You can enable the chat window and enter
/lettherebewings
to enable advanced behaviors.

From there, the default escort remains but you can now queue up additional orders for subordinates on top of that (not in the wing command pilot seat).

I didn't take the time to see if it will go from automine to trade wares, the miners might fill up with cargo and sit there until ordered to trade.

Might be more trade options as far as setting the trade range.

Anyone know if the trade mule mod increases trade ranges?


I appreciate the help :) however im not as computer savy as most of the people on here probably I know enough to protect my computer and install and do minor programming type stuff other then that....its a crap shot. I just wish they would fix the thing that should have been resloved by now fleet management is one of those that should have been fixed early as it's a important part of the game IMO.

Also in my game Xenon are steam rolling everyone and im about 30 hr in. They have a force of 3 i's and 4 k's in Havana'a chocie 1 which is in the "loop" which is causing major eco problems lol

Geez, proper fleet management STILL isn't in the game?! Guess I'll check back in another 6 months.....

Hate to reopen this BUT i know you would want to know.

The advanced behavior is bugged or doesn't work. At least for me.

I just figured this out today you give the subordinates the auto mine command and they will do it once then it will auto revert back to escorting the commander :(

Actually if you pilot the fleet leader ship, you can assign back auto mine / auto trade orders to subordonates. I managed to group all my auto traders and auto Miner that way.

It didn't revert back to "escort" for you? It does for me. Also u using the advanced behavior or normal behavior?

Normal behavior and no it didn't. You just can't choose any commands if you're not piloting the squad leader ship

A.F.A.I.K. fleet commands for mining and trading are still not working properly,
you have to set each ship individually to either auto mine or auto trade.
unless you have combat ships doing the escorting, but even then, they tend to not stay with the ship they are supposed to escort.
