Possible to auto collect Container/Loot by own Ships?

Hello,
i found something interesting. i went to second contact system there the highway and jumpgate are connected. there was a battle and alot of containers/loot were there. i managed to gather 43 pieces of spaceflyeggs and couple of other stuff. but i wasnt able to collect the big containers. is it possible to collect them with a freightship controled by npc? e.g. i lurk in my small ship collecting the eggs and the npc ship of mine collecting the tradegoods? i'll add some screenshots. i made about 2 mio credits in on hour just by collecting the stuff. didnt formed the kaviar yet.

Yes, you can call in some freighters and order their pilots to collect drops.
You ought to stay in the vicinity while they do this to protect them though.

Some wares like un-refined ore or gas cannot be picked by traders. Only miners can.

But most of goods can be picked by any ship. And in previos game you needed XL storage, but now you can pick almost any goods.
