Create OWN Characters!

With everything this game series can do, though sad when you had MORE options and freedom in the previous titles in the series. Why are you forcing us into Roles we can't even edit the race, sex, even the Basic Name, totally kills any sense of immersion your going for. Is there a way to just create a custom Character that Im missing???

I haven’t found a way other than mods from what I have read in the forums, it would be a pretty nice addition tho, even employee uniforms would be nice

You can change your name in the empire overview area which basically means you can be anybody of any race.

Changing your name does not physically change your character appearance. You can see your character by standing in the cockpit of a ship and doing external view.

Could be cool at game start to customize your race, gender, clothing etc.

Imagine being able to customize your character along with crew on your ship rpg style, role play your own firefly crew, I doubt that would ever get implemented in an already massive scale game like this tho, guessing adding things like fallout4 style rpg combat would be a whole other game, one can dream tho. Personally flying a boarding pod to cap a ship and having a plasma rifle with finite ammo, etc etc

I think a “helmet cam” option where your main character takes over a marine that is boarding an enemy would be quite cool.

I'll admit it's kinda ugly seeing your character fold his arms while flying the ship magically it be nice to add those features.

If down the road ego somehow added more to first person mode like shooting rifles and rpg style gameplay to cap ships along with a storyline as an extra module, I would spend the money to buy, like gta in space with fallout 4 style gameplay😁, nothing I’ll expect for the x series but I still dream

Multiple characters slots would be nice. One character a private, one character a corporation, etc .. then whatever mood your in you can pull up a character that fits the mood.
