Argon 3-Dock T Pier what for ?

Can someone explain what this station module does? or its effect. thank you

It's a dock that fits three capital ships in a T configuration. Is this rocket science?

Piers are needed for L ships and larger to dock at a station. If the station doesn't have one, I believe they will use cargo drones to transfer wears instead which is somewhat slower. Unless you're planning to dock a bunch of capital ships all at the same time, you probably don't need the triple pier. A single will do, and is cheaper to build.

L and XL ships need both a pier, and cargo drones, to transfer wares with the station.

You must have a pier for L and XL ship trades. If the ship doesn't have any, it waits for the station's drones. If the station has none, RIP.

Again, I ask this. Is this really that complicated? Some of you guys... are slower than my Mammoth Constructor.

It's a vague explanation, with no definitive answer. You must have a pier and cargo drones to dock and transfer wares with L and XL ships. Without drones, you can still dock but transferring wares is not possible.

I just don't like people spreading false information, and this particular question should have a pretty obvious answer. Talk about civil, btw. That reply is cancer.

And to answer the original Question:

A Pier of ANY shape is required to allow a Station to Trade with L and XL Ships.

The only difference is their shape and the ability to Dock more than one large Ship at a time.

The Pier is also the place were either Station or Ship owned Cargo Drones will be utilized during a Trade.
