How do i call in the help of an ally in my besieged system?

I have an alliance with the lumeris. One of my systems is being attacked. How do i ask my ally to come help me out in said system?

Next to the round "End Turn" button (bottom right corner), there is a small button in the shape of an "eye". Click on it.
