This update completely broke my game and I am unable to log in or play the game for days now. Support didn´t help either. Will absolutly advice people to not get it on Steam now. After this and KHIII I won´t buy anything from Square again. So dissapointed.

This new... 'update?...' has made logging in to this game a mf turbo nightmare.

Broke the game now cant even log in.

What good is this if the Mog Station account doesn't properly scan the linked Steam Account for purchased DLC and apply the expansion to the linked Mog Station account?

I pre-purchased the Endwalker DLC during the fan event on Steam; with the Steam account I've always used to login/purchase items with. it shows that I have the DLC in my Steam Account; it was purchased through the Mog Station using the Steam Web API.

You people are hack programmers and I guess I should've expected as much from a team that had to rebuild the game from scratch because it was such a disaster on launch.

I've opened up two support tickets and the only suggestion is "DURRR GET A REFUND ON STEAM" - Dumbasses; the purchase isnt the problem, its the Mog Station's ability to resolve the purchase on its stupid portal. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ figure this out or ♥♥♥♥ off, Yoshi P. Enhanced security my ass; more like enhanced retardation of administration.

great, that "link" broken my account, I cant connect myself anymore, the game is lock on another ID that I can't change, and I can't even buy the game a 2nd time to resolve the problem, I litteraly cant play this game anymore, thanks steam !

Ppl that mald for steam, when they bought the game on steam is even more crazy.

There is absolutely no real reason that these people go mad over ease of access, you already need a 2FA for Steam, you dont need to put your information twice and people can't steal your account like there have been issues in the past.

But hey steam is evil and i need to run away from it !!!

Steam is fine i think, problem is that SE does not allow unlinking or changing accounts, and does not let players to buy/use the non-steam PC version.

That is because none does, ppl might think its on the PC so it shouldn't be a problem, but that's not the case. Just like you can't buy any other game on GOG or Epic store and play it on other client. Steam gets cut for each sale of expansion, that is why people cant change it.

Just like you can't play with the same license on PS4, it's not because its a different device, but because its a different platform. I don't see any other reason other than buying expansions from key sites that you would want to use the game out of steam (if you are already a steam user), you only get benefits from using the market if you want to pay your sub with Csgo or dota items, easier to manage your subscription without even going to the wonky mogstation website. And biggest of all, when you buy an expansion you get immediately the code, not like Square Enix store, that before has had delays and did not send codes in time.

People thinking games let you buy DLC cross platform inside and outside platforms like steam is purely fantasy, no game ever does that (except the ones that MOVE into steam and you still have your purchases from before, and the F2P cross progression games which are only a couple).

For example Microsoft lets you cross buy games and DLC on xbox and microsoft store (for PC). Different devices, but same platform, so if dev wants they can do that. But none wants you to go outside their platform so none allows it.

Many would be still willing to buy the game license for PC, but doing it would make them to start the whole game again from level 1. But its possible to buy the game on playstation, and play the same account/character there that you play on steam, if I have understood correctly.

Also many other mmorpg's lets you link and unlink account to steam freely, like SWTOR. If someone would have two SWTOR accounts, he or she could link and unlink them freely, depending on what account they want to play on that time.

no clue what the hell they did, but this whole linking business has made the game 100% unplayable. the launcher it defaults to through steam is the directx12 launcher which absolutely does not load. however, the old version still works when launched from the install dir. well, great, sub and login through that, right?

no. must link first. and linking is only through the broken launcher through steam.

well done, i guess. oh, well. story's over anyways and that was really all this had going for it in the end.
