Reborn or Evolve mode
So whit the new system they put out now you gonna have 2 set of players of party finders

So for those who want to stay in reborn mode will have problem to team up whit evolve mode? the good thing there no more 2 minutes meta but now come new other problem.

If peoples all move to evolve mode in tanking now pld is mvp for main tank and the rest are off tank.........those that mean we will need a while new set of main tank now?.

You thought on this?

Dps and healer...........since we only saw dragoon now peoples will need to do position to get those new system, beside the range seen they got the easy way out while healer we will see.

Main/off tank only matter in savages, and they said that even then you can use 2 off tanks in evolve mode and clear it. Main/off makes it easier.

And it's pretty obvious everyone will be playing evolved, it's a much better system that gives job identity back, gets rid of the 2 min meta bs. It's also obvious reborn will be probably dead by 9.0, considering new jobs won't get reborn.
I don’t think you know what OT actually means. OT is literally a role for savage and ultimate. It has no bearing on normal content because the “2nd tank” in normal content is just a dps unless the person with agro dies.

“Off tanks” actually have a responsibility in Savage and Ultimate, especially ultimate.
No idea why you would ever use the old mode. The new mode has role-specific Tanks, and they said Evolved mode would be stronger.

You're actively griefing if you use the old mode in harder content.

OOh get the hell out whit your grefting bs,i am just want to see peoples opinion on this.

Take your shilling ff14 cultist/whit knight off the discussion.

Compare to you,i want to see peoples got to say about this new system.
Reborn will be gone after 8.0 and all will use the new mode. This is just a transition phase to trick players into the new lobotomy design. Not like the current design was any good but it seems it can always get worse.
I'll just use what I think looks coolest. ::gigbrain::

You pretty much grab the new rocket launcher over the bow.

I honestly didn't think they could simplify White Mage anymore, but it's even more braindead now.

The only good thing announced so far is that two minute meta is gone. Now they actually are going have to design interesting encounters.
WHM main here, I want to get my hands on it in the context of the new combat encounters. Instant DPS and more emphasis on GCD healing is certainly a statement that you need to commit to healing at appropriate times during a fight, which should always be a consideration. Plus looks like they essentially removed the vestigial Cure I which was something desperately needed for a while now.

It's going to be an extremely disjointed experience. You are supposed to be a caster but now your dps skill has no cast times while your healing has. You have 2 conflicting playstyles at the same time. Also they will never actually test a healers kit to the limit and this is going completely the wrong direction. After they removed most of the dps actions it was pretty much over for healers except in ults which the director even said himself that if you are not having fun with healers then go play ult which is an insane thing to say. It pretty much means they know the class gameplay sucks and only the encounters matter and only the highest ones.

It'll probably be a change not everyone vibes with, and that's completely understandable. I'm incredibly interested, however, being a WHM main from ARR and seeing the evolution of the job from the beginning. Though I might have more flexibility than most adapting to changes in the kit.

I can't imagine investing so much time into a job role that presses 1 gcd 300 times in a raid.

As opposed to what? Other healers? Because every healer DPS kit is simplified to focus on their primary responsibility of keeping other party members alive. That's the type of gameplay I enjoy in a party, though all roles are incredibly fun.

Healers are pretty much unnecessary in 99% of the game's content outside of Savage/Ult. Bards can esuna, tanks and dps have mitigation and heals. I think it's time we remove healers from the game and further spread their utility out to other roles. :lunar2019piginablanket:
