Registration code already used ._.

Okay, so I got a new laptop today. I had this game downloaded on my other laptop and I re-installed it today so that I could play it on this one instead. When connecting, it wants me to enter the regestration code again. I did, and it says it's already in use and won't let me log in... Seriously. How am I supposed to play? Somebody help me out here, this isn't really fair.

Are you sure there's no way to just bypass the code registration? You should be able to just log onto your account and then play like normal.

Are you logging in to your existing account? Did you register your code to your Mogstation account? Make sure you're telling the launcher (if it asks whether or not you have an existing SE account) that you have an SE account.

Yes, I am logging into my existing account... I have no idea what mogstation even is. I'll check it out.

As I know of, I don't think there is a way to bypass it. I am getting fairly angry...

Could I see a screenshot of the message you get from the launcher when trying to log on?

I installed the game onto my desktop, and put the code in there. When I installed it on my laptop, I just told it I had an SE account, and it just told me to log in, and it went straight to the launcher from there. I never had to put the code in on the laptop install.

Log into the mogstation using your existing SE ID/password. Click on 'Your Account' and see if the subscription has run out? Otherwise, if you can log into the Mogstation... then you are trying to log into the Free-Trial client?

You only need to enter the registration code ONCE. Game Code / CD-key / whatever. If you have played for the 30 free days... you've use the code and the game is linked to your SE ID.

If you can see that the game is already registered in mogstation, then make sure you activate your service account. This is not the same as subscription. My service account was inactive so when I tried to download the game through the launcher it kept asking me to enter my registration code. It will not recognize that the game is registered to your account if the account is inactive. Also, after this you have to purchase game time in order to begin downloading.

I'm having this issue currently. I had an nvidia shield with steam installed on it and purchased a bundle pack that included the shadowbringers. After buying it, and realizing I wasn't able to play the game, i left it alone until i could get a device that could support it. Well, several months later I finally get a gaming laptop specifically to play FFXIV. I download steam and im able to get into the game but it says that my code is already registered. I check Mogstation, it says my account is a free trial account. I go to square enix and log in and on my profile, it is connected to my steam account. I check the lodestone, and doesnt register my account as being a full retail one. (i was never able to launch it and make a character) . I'm unsure what to do now, and if that means i'll ahve to buy the game again and pay for it over again

Its late but you have to change the file FFXIV_BOOT in a text editor and change StartupCompleted from a 0 to a 1. Thats it. The file is in your My Documents folders.

right click on the file and check "properties" see if "Read Only" is checked. if it is, uncheck it, then make the change and save it.

If Read Only is unchecked already, then make sure you have the game closed before you try editing the file.
