I'd start by doing the free-trial, 14 days to let you see what it's about.

The actual thing is that the copy i found can be used and have 30 days, and wont sell it so... xD

2 years into an MMO is never that moment where everything is too advanced for new players to get in. Look at Final Fantasy XI and WoW. You normally expect MMOs to run into their 10 year mark, so right now the game is most definitely in its early days still.

They're releasing the first expansion soon, which actually means that if you want to jump in, do it now. By the time the expansion is up, you'll catch up with leveling and the story and people that were raiding and getting the end game gear will be set back down to your level as expansion introduces 10 more levels.

EDIT: and by 2 years I mean, Realm Reborn relaunched in 2013. Everything that came before really doesn't count.

Well... the copy shows error 11021, so i suposse FFXIV servers closed and Realm Reborn are in another different server, so now the question is, if i wanna buy it, should i buy the 10€ or the collector edition?

if you aren't sure about the game, then you can always upgrade to collector's edition trough mogstation later :)
Depends if you want the collector's edition items really.

There is anything important in the CE items?

EDIT: Is the monthly suscription expensive?

There's vanity items with the CE. Just neat toys. Outside of that, you don't really need it. Subscription starts at I think.. $10.99 a month if you do just one character.

They key should still be valid, actually. Create an SE account and attempt to register the game through it.

I did it and the web said that it was a valid key for FF XIV, but didnt appear on my profile, i tryed again with the same resuld, and if i install it from CD that error shows up

The CD is for 1.0, that's the only reason you're getting an error there. Where exactly are you looking on your profile for things? o.O

Directly on the SE site, on my account profile in "Registered Games" I add it but dont show up, maybe i should send a support token and see if they can give me a hand or just send me fly away for not using the code on 5 years xD

My CD is from the old version so cant install it from CD, and if i try from laucher it automatically register me to the free trial
Freyar Apr 25, 2015 @ 2:33pm
I don't think you can register V1 keys anymore. Double-check on Mogstation though.
Gabby Apr 25, 2015 @ 4:26pm
Again, you can. There's no reason to worry about the install phase though since you can download the game client for free.
