FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Question about getting Free Company /House back...
So, my friends and I started a Free Company a long time ago (about a year). Then, after a few months, we stopped playing. At the time, we didn't realize that letting our subscription run out would kick me, the leader and founder, out of the entire Free Company altogether.

But it wasn't a big deal to me since Free Companies were more of a fun side distraction. But since then, the FC has gone from over 100 members to 3 members as more and more people stopped playing, and the current "leader" of the Free Company has been inactive for months now (yet he remains subscribed). I have no way of making contact with this dude.

My friends and I put a lot of work into getting the FC high enough to get a house and everything, and would like to know if it is possible for me to get back in command of the FC? Since we are going to start playing again with Heavensward coming out, it would just make things easier than just starting a new FC.

Do mods/admins do that sort of thing?

You're probably SOL here. I don't think GMs will hand over things like that.

They don't. Also the game doesn't automatically kick you out of FCs when unsubscribed / inactive, someone with officer status has to initiate that.

Actually, the game does kick the admin out of position if the admin has an inactive sub. It makes the person who is most active the admin of the FC now. My whole FC went inactive, and the person who kept their sub active became the admin of our FC. Everyone else still reminds the same including moderators.

It kicks them out of position. It doesn't kick them out of the FC. Reading is half the battle.

Patch 2.2 Notes[na.finalfantasyxiv.com]:

"In the event a free company master does not log in for 35 days (Earth time), ownership will be automatically transferred to another free company member, based upon the following criteria:
1. Members who have logged in within the past seven days
2. Higher-ranked members preferred
3. Senior members preferred

* After the transfer, the former master will automatically be demoted to ordinary member status".

What we both said then. My post was simply noting that the guy didn't get kicked out of his FC from being unsubscribed. Someone in the FC removed him after the power shift.
