This i ridiculous. I can't register my game.
I bought the game for PS4 ( I know. I just don't know where else to go.) I tried to contact support, but I have to have a registered game in order to do that. Ain't that some ♥♥♥♥? I'm trying to register my game on the Sqaure Enix website because my game tells me I can't play until I do so.

To my understanding, I have an old code. I have a 12 digit code, and I need a 20 digit code. Now I've also seen where that 12 digit code is for PS3? I don't know. My game is new. I'm in the US, bought the game from a gamestop in the US, and it's a PS4 version. So what's up...How do I get the right code? Can I get a code if I somehow got an old one?

Because lord knows there's no real reason for Square Enix to do away with the codes, then sell the exact codes that no longer work :/

Did you buy a PC copy? If not, you will need to do that.

For the PS4, I believe you redeem the 12-digit code on PSN (sounds like a PSN code) which will then let you continue on since your SE account will be linked to your PSN ID.

No, just a PS4 copy...so you mean to tell me that in order to play it on the PS4, I have to have a PC copy too? Well then, that was a waste of my money.

No, he's telling you that for ps4 you need the 12 digit code (wich you have). I dont know how to redeem it for ps4 though

I have that. But, when I go to register my game, the codes don't match up. Like I have a 12 digit code, but it wants a 20 digit code. Basically, I can't redeem it...because I can't use my code.

Okay...

You don't register the 12 digit code on the SE site. The instructions, included in the insert that comes with the PS4 version, are kinda clear:

1. Log into your SEN Account
2. Go to the PSN Store.
3. Select "Redeem Codes"
4. Enter the 12 digit code.
5. Insert your disc into your PS4.
6. Game launcher will go and check for updates.
7. Read the Agreement and Agree to Proceed.
8. Follow the on screen instructions to create a new account. (Or log in with an existing account.)

At this point, you'll be ready to play. PS4 at no time asks for a 20 digit code. Ever.

You can only play PS4 versions of the game on PS4.

If you want to play the game on PC, you have to buy a PC version and register it on the same account. Then you can use your PS4 character cross platform.

Are you using your Mogstation account details to log in? Or your Square Enix website details? The SE website accounts are different to FFXIV Mogstation accounts.

I was using my SE account, which is what it told me to do. I don't know what was happening. A friend redid it for me (he did the same exact thing I did) and it finally worked. He had to create a new account. I dont know what was happening. It would let me sign in to the website, but wouldn't let me sign in to play with the same exact info. I guess something somewhere was just off. But it's fixed now. Thanks.

I have the same Problem, but I have no friend who can "just do the same exact thing I did" :-(
