Dalamud devs.
If they can't prevent their platform from being a seed bed for malicious agents then shouldn't it be disabled? Inaction is the greatest evil know to humanity.

Shut it down. :lunar2019coolpig:

edit: We're no longer asking. Shut it down or face legal consequences.

According to some players the game is unplayable without it and other mods and they would rather get hacked etc than not use it. This community is cooked
The most recent kerfuffle is completely done via informatino sent ot the game client by the devs system.

Dalamud can't do anything about that, and aren't even necessary for that information to be collected by a bad actor.
Cancel your sub and uninstall the game, clearly you don't like playing it so why even brother forcing yourself to play?

I just want to chime in with, I do not know anything about whats going on only that something is. I will add I don't care and could not care less and will still play the game. I play by myself by choice so it doesn't affect players like me.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Stop reading the forums. Clearly you can't handle hearing opinions that don't align with your own so why even bother forcing yourself to read them?

The PlayerScope thing could be achieved even without Dalamud by just using Wireshark instead as the blacklist system of 7.0 did leak out account IDs as it wasn't implemented in a secure manner. (the packets are unencrypted and could sniff the data)

Even if the game had an aggressive kernel level anti cheat that required it to boot with Windows. it wouldn't have changed anything as it was an issue with the implementation of blacklists in 7.0+

The game developers created this mistake themselves and now they have to address it which Yoshida didn't explain how it will be addressed

No developer is ever going to explain how they are going to address things internally. That's just invited people to figure out how to get around stuff.

The hammer was brought down. Yoshida said they will take legal action with a clearly defined condition that must be met. It's fine to be critical of CB3/SE, in fact, more power to you but now it's time for some people breaching the ToS (a legally binding thing) to answer or face the consequences. :lunar2019piginablanket:

Suing choice mod authors, maybe. But suing the general Dalamud user base would be insane. *looks at the discord* 15k currently online. Thats alot of cases to have to push through courts.
