Its very obscure. Hard to figure out were to pay. Even to see what games you registered.

I got this game when it came out. My pc wasnt very good for it so after registering I cancelled (somehow.. God I wonder how hard that was.) Now after about a year or so I figured Ide go back with my new pc. And holy Sh*t is this a pain in the ass. I cannot for the life of me just add time to the game. Or even confirm if its registered.

Only thing reconizable about making a payment is some obscure Crysta stuff. I dont even know I give up...

You need to find the Square Enix site. After you logged in (you have an account right) then you need to go to the Mog Station, its a site for you account were you can register you steam game and pay subcription via steam

I know what you mean, you would think they would make it easier to pay them with a "Pay for sub here" button. Anyways, you have to got to the Mog Station website. https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/mogstation/‎ Sign in with your account, then go to account services and it will show you your service account and at the bottom you will see a "proceed to payment" button.

I also preordered the game when it first came out. I stopped playing after my free time was up and now I'm trying to go back to it but it won't accept my payment and just gives me an error at the end of the payment process! Can't even buy Crysta with Paypal because it basically says it won't allow me to after I've entered my paypal info and confirmed.
Only thing else left to try is to find a game time card and hope it accepts THAT. This is ridiculous. Definitely the worst site I've ever had to deal with. Hope you have way better luck.

See if you can pay via anonymous paypal (doesn't use a paypal account)?

I'm confused. Are you not able to log into your account, or, when you log in there are no service accounts listed? It should show a FFXIV service account and its status.

SE has had piss poor online service/customer service for years. I bought FFXI around when it first came out and I remember spending hours and hours setting up a Playonline account, then a game account, and I have periodically returned to the game every once in a while and everytime I had to leave the game to update for the next 24-36 hours (or more) while it patched. Hopefully you are able to figure out the account system. FFXI and FFXIV are both awesome games but SE sure does try their best to keep people from playing.

I didn;t even need to read the post before I was nodding in agreement! It is absolutely the worst most convoluted piece of amateur web design and payment processing i've ever known! I've been locked out for 2 months!!! Only just got it back, the CC i used to pay for the game and pay for my first renewal were fine and worked ok, then they stopped rebilling my car and when i tried to manually register it, i got "Error 601"... their support were useless, kept insisting my bank were blocking my card or i had no money... all of which was BS, i have two debit cards and a mastercard... all are rejected (one of them is the one i bought and renewed with already), there's a 20 page thread on the forums about it... I now have to manually add crysta using that UltimatePay option every month! Well, at least they know how to process payments properly!

At least this isn't as bad as the PlayOnline system.

At Mogstation, log in with your original account (use your e-mail address and password as your username may have changed) and check for existing service accounts. Since you already own a copy of the game via Version 1.0, you should only need to subscribe for a month.

Now, as far as using Crysta for payment, it was pretty painless for me but if you're getting an error on the paypal transaction that is likely UGC/UltimatePay's issue. Are you not able to pay for a month with a normal card?

I can't renew my subscription OR buy Crysta with Paypal. I get an error every time for both ( I don't remember the exact errors, I'd have to retry for the 1000th time lol). I'm using the same debit card that I used to buy the game. I never payed for the subscription because I stopped playing after my free time was up, but I do believe I've had to enter my card info for it.

I think you have it all wrong. There is a steam subcription. You will just have to use the Mogstation site. Its made difficult, this increases security. You should see how many ppl there are who are trying to do Real Money trading in game, but each week these accounts are nuked by the developers. They are really doing an awesome job of keeping the game clean.

But the problem is that you have been inactive for 1 year so they shut your account down. Same thing happened to me. I had a Square Enix account, which i didnt use until now. So myne was locked too. Had to create a new account all together.
