With that said, its incredibly hard to die just walking around beating stuff up.
It deleveling you helped if you did not cap skills. Back when it was slower you level to fast, you cannot hit anything, your magic is resisted, having the best gear in game meant nothing with skill capped in everything for your role. I hate bard on this, only bards that sucked in 11 were ones that didn't take the time to learn and test themselves.
I like controlling everything, I could even main heal parties with melee or mages. Most bards did not know how to do this. FF11 made you, your own person. This one your group with everyone else, players that did not high endgame. Do not even realize this game still has mob tp. Which can be in magic, 2 hour summons and melee moves.
I have sat and counted tp and player seem shocked when a boss does a move. I use to run high endgame linkshell in 2003 to 2010. This game is crap, you cannot teach players anymore like in FF11. You can get from 1 to 50 in 2 hours in this game if you know how.
I sure don't!
Each to there own. Its the reason ive started playing games. I just wish they continued it on in a series that had it previously.
They removed it because the majority of players in gaming despise that as a penalty. It's not only maddening, it's also discouraging. There's nothing worse that working on your last few levels then losing 10% of a level due to a stupid death, or even worse, a DC>. It's simply not a good system so it's rarely used anymore.
Also, it was just another reason why the community was so strong on that game, it was so much of a challenge to play, that people worked together. A rare thing in gaming these days. Sure, the games are easier, but that comes at a cost of a sence of acomplishment, and weakens the community.
No thanks.
