First time starting, Launcher is white.
I have just downloaded this for the 3rd time since i got it and the launcher has small amounts of black writing but the background is white. None of the login boxes or buttons show up. Anyone have a cure to this issue?

I verified the cache again to see 44 files missing, total game download again. Is there any known problems with the steam version anyone can help with?

Does the launcher become unresponsive when it goes white?

The buttons are still active but they cant be seen since the graphic content has not been loaded.

Do you have the latest updates for Internet Explorer?
Krumm Feb 20, 2014 @ 3:53pm
IE is updated, i just reset all settings to default so i will try again once it has downloaded.

Found the problem, content had been disabled in IE and was not loading the launcher content. The launcer now runs fine,

Good. A lot of people ignore IE once they install a replacement browser and it seems to be biting SE in the rear.

Hey, something similar is happening to me where it fails to launch becauce of an error boot. I don't know what this means. But if someone could explain to me how to maybe fix this problem? Like i don't know how to enable IE, or how to verify the cache. Someone could tell me how (hopfully sort of step by step) that would be amazing!

To verify the cache of the game, right-click the game in your list and click properties. At the top of the window that comes up there will be a tab that says "Local Files". In that tab there is an option to Verify. Keep in mind this will likely require you to patch again from SE's servers.

Another option would be to remove your settings for the client so it can make some new ones. Go to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\My Games\ and delete or move the Final Fantasy XIV folder.

Hey man thanks a lot. I'm really happy to see someone actually helping others for a change. Thanks!

I help where I can, and in some cases there are problems I just don't have the answer to.
