Creating account on Steam for FFXIV ARR

1.Is steams e-mail linked to square enix account, do I have to enter seperate email while registering?
2.Is steam ID the ID when I'm logging into the game?
3.When I'm registered can I log into their website?
4. Can I log into the game without steam?
5. How do I extend subscription if I buy the game through steam?

I hope some of you can answer me to those questions, I've also sent a ticket to steam about this so they can explain me a bit more detailed if community can't or doesn't know.

1) As far as steam linking goes, I'm not sure. At present, I've just been getting people to register using Mogstation.

2) No, they are seperate systems. On the Mogstation, log in using the e-mail address you used to register and your password. SE hasa habit of altering usernames based on whether or not that name was used by someone else. (Usually they add a number.)

3) Once you know your username as displayed in Mogstation, you can.

4) Yes, you can log in to FFXIV without Steam.

5) Update billing info at Mogstation.
