Registration Code? Security token?! Registering game on square enix?

After finally recieving my confirmation email(after trying 3 different e-mails..)..it says I need a security token..where do I find this if I bought the game on steam?

How do I register the game on my Square Enix profile? The CD Key is NOT the correct key for registering the product on square enix's site.

I bought the game yesterday and have not been able to get beyond the account sign in screen.

Solved.

Went to this link https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/Login?cont=account&request=mogstation and recovered password.

Changed password.

Went back to the above link, put in the e-mail address I registered with(into the ID box) and the new password(into the password box, don't put anything into the one-time password field).

After logging in, the page it brings you to should have your account name at the top(that is the correct ID to use when logging in).

A security token (or one time password) is an authenticator similar to what Blizzard uses.

To register the game, you should have a key that is 20 characters long in sets of four. To see this key, right-click the game and view CD-Key.

I only recieved a confirmation..no registration code still..after more than a day..and 3 e-mail accounts. :(

I used gmail and got the confirmation. Yahoo and hotmail didn't work (for me).

I tried putting that in..it doesn't work on the Square Enix site. It wants a registration code (in "leaflet" or manual found in game box). The registration is either: 6 letters +3 digits + 6 letters + 3 digits..or 8 letters + 4 digits. Neither of which I can find anywhere.

That's the Square Enix Members code meant to be like Nintendo's Club Nintendo.

Try registering through here[secure.square-enix.com].

I am getting an "ID or password is incorrect" error now..after confirming the account..

What region are you in? NA or EU?

Are you entering anything into the One Time Password field?

NA, and I am not entering anything into that field. I have been getting that error on my other account too (I tried making a new one to no avail).

Are the recovery options for the account working at all? If you can log in here[na.square-enix.com] should work as well. It could also be impacted because the main FFXIV servers are offline due to a patch.

It only works when I log in through steam.

Sadly I don't think we're on the same page. You can only log in to the main Square Enix site by logging in through Steam?

You made a seperate account for Square Enix itself right?

I have both a separate one for square enix and one linked through Steam. The one only on square enix does not allow me to log in. The Steam one does, but only if I click the "Steam" button on the left hand side of the screen. Attempting to use my Enix ID and password for either account(on the enix page you linked me to) gives me the same error as mentioned above. I thought I had forgotten my original password for the one linked through Steam, hence the new account that I mentioned before (the square enix only one)..but the new account gives me an error as well (despite the password being correct..and username being correct).

Which? The Enix only one? I don't have to, I know the password. Just created it today and wrote it down.

The Steam linked one..I tried ..but don't remember what I put in for a security question(Dumb, I know x_x)
