I think they've broken it lately. Since HW, I've not been able to hide the HUD.

Maybe you are bugged or keyboard mapping is different.
Steam version of FFXIV is known to be...weird and buggy unlike the Nonsteam Version. :stoss:

Along with Scroll Lock + Home there are also the controller shortcuts.

On a 360 controller it is LB + Back to hide the HUD and LB + Start to take a screenshot.
Or L1 + Select and L1 + Start on the PS3 controller respectively.

Rebind it in key config.

/gpose gets rid of the HUD but only enables 3rd person pictures.
