What to spend White craft scrips after 80?

My crafter is close to hit 90 and is capping on White Scrips, what should I spend them now that there's no gear to spend on? I guess prob Materia, but which ones are safe to buy?

If you plan on pentamelding your crafter gear, materia is always a safe bet, pretty much any type. Look up different melds, depending on how much effort you want to invest in it you will need plenty of vii, viii's for example, possibly plenty of lower level ones as well.

If you just want to make some side money and get materia to sell, check out which ones sell for the most amounts on your server.

Materia to sell or use is the best bet. Prior to that, though, make sure to buy all Master Recipe books. 3 through 8 cost between 100-400/book, but the rank 9 recipe books cost 1200 scrips each. You'll want to get those, especially if you ever plan on making gil from crafting.

FYI Master Recipe books 1 & 2 are bought through item trade in Mhor Dhona. Its a little weird.

Crafter Materia IX that you need to pentameld with (MB prices isn't considered low yet in my DC) or Master Recipe books if you haven't unlocked the tier yet for your respective crafter job

I did this recently so I’ll recommend it here. If by any chance you haven't bought the Master Recipes II, use those scrips to get Fieldcraft Demimateria III (a total of 16 if you’re getting the 8 books), as each of the items you need to craft in order to exchange for the books requires 2 of those.

Command IX and Cunning VII and IX are your big white scrip materia sellers at the moment. But honestly? Stock up for them in anticipation of 6.3. The crafting set that arrives in 6.3 will last at least one whole year. Pentamelding that should be a priority for any semi-serious crafter.

Just to be different, I'll just add "Blue Scrip Tokens" here, if you ever plan on getting Anima relic weapons, those things are a heavens(wards)sent for one of the grindiest parts of the process :D

Yea, seems like it makes sense do hoard on stuff and wait for 6.3 before pentamelding gear that will soon become outdated. Is still possible to craft high quality stuff with basic melding tho? At least for self supply reasons...

Should be, but you will most likely have to use a food or a pot even, as well as HQ submats in your crafts. The 590 gear you can get and meld, those wont be replaced any time soon, only the accessories.

Should be, but you will most likely have to use a food or a pot even, as well as HQ submats in your crafts. The 590 gear you can get and meld, those wont be replaced any time soon, only the accessories.

Assuming the same pattern as 5.x, the pacemaker doh/dol gear will be current until 6.3 when the last crafted gear will be released. So we still have at least 6-8 months before Pactmaker is obsolete.
