FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Any other good MMORPG's?
Personally, I loved FFXIV. That was up until Stormblood, I had immense trouble even attempting to get through the Naadam and just the first Black Mage job quest and honestly I have just given up, Its just too much trouble for me personally, I'd prefer something more suited to casuals please. These are the criteria's I am looking for

1. Must have English as an available language
2. Be very similar to FFXIV but meant for casuals (AKA Similar to FFXIV Meaning: High Fantasy)
3. Camera angles like FFXIV and BDO, I cannot stand the other camera angles as it just feels boring
4. I'd prefer a more recent game so nothing like Guild Wars 2 or World of Warcraft as the graphics just don't feel right.

Thanks!

I was going to suggest FFXI because you like high fantasy, and it is great for casual play since you can use Trusts almost right from the start of playing. Other than that, as someone earlier said Elder Scrolls Online is very casual friendly. You don't even have to do dungeons if you don't want to. If you want to party up with a high level character you can because of the way scaling works. I play XIV and ESO both. :) ESO is casual enough that I can pick it up and put it down whenever I want. Give it a try :)

You should give ESO a try.

Stormblood for the most part is a slog-fest just like post-ARR quests except it's a whole damn expansion. Just get yourself to push through it cause you are about to come up to the actual meat of it. Believe me, I've suffered through it twice now.

Honestly, if you find FFXIV not casual friendly enough, I don't know if there is anything out there for you.

ESO, WoW Classic, FFXIV and Old School Runescape are the only mmos worth ♥♥♥♥ currently IMO.

ESO is probably your best bet. Even has pretty decent controller support.

This one and ESO are probably the only good MMOs currently available

World of Warcraft is always fine. Their next expansion is coming up soon and it's lookin to be a banger.
If you want fancy shmancy graphics and particles that you can't tell what's going on, try out PSO2 (Phantasy Star Online 2) recently released on Steam.

The quests in this game are piss easy. You're probably wearing low item level gear for the parts that you were on and got wrecked because you didn't pass the gear check. This is in almost every MMO btw.

So you say you want a tab targeting MMO like FF14, but then say no WOW, no Guild Wars 2. So basically you don't want any relevant MMOs.

You say you want high fantasy, but no WoW.

You say you like the camera of BDO, but no ESO since it's not exactly "high fantasy".

If you had trouble getting past certain quests in ff14, there are guides everywhere and you can just google them and find them easily. There are even quest playthroughs on Youtube.

But you're basically asking " Can someone recommend me an MMO, but none of the relevant ones"

The list of fantasy MMORPGs that are even worth looking at today since they still have a future (at least in the west) are, in no specific order: WoW, ESO, FF14, GW2, Runescape, FF14, BDO.

And also I recommend you look up CURRENT WoW graphics instead of looking at the content from back in the early 2000's. It's an art style not low-res visuals anymore. Also look at the upcoming Shadowlands expansion and how it's going to change the new player experience in a couple months.

Honestly your choice other than FF14 for the most similar fantasy is WoW, and you're gonna have to wait a few months for the new expansion to release so you can play through their updated "new player experience". Or you can settle with ESO and tolerate it's combat system.

In all honestly you're better off just trying all of the "free trials" almost all of these MMOs have and find one that you think is cool. But to be honest with you probably the only reason you didn't get past those missions in FF14 is because your equipped gear might be too low level or low item level. You can buy pretty cheap gear for your level off of regular vendors in main hubs.

Mkay, Lets start with this. I am using perfectly good gear associated with my level, I use the latest gear you can get from the quests as you cannot get better gear from the NPC's while you can get better gear from crafting and buying it from other players and such, I didnt even pay attention to the crafting classes at the start of the game or for even a majority of my playing so that would be a lot of grinding to do and also buying it from players is usually absurdly expensive when your source of income is the main quest line, Though I appreciate the thought its not just realistic when your playing as a Black Mage, I have noticed multiple other people on forums and such that have had the same troubles with Black Mage.

Oh also Art Styles are a huge thing in my eyes, for example I cannot stand One Piece and other older anime because of the art style, Its kinda those small details I cannot get past, lol

If it's not an ilevel problem then you could just look up a guide or youtube video on the mission. I've had a couple of dragoon and machinist quests that were pretty annoyingly designed and I had to look up youtube videos mid quest.

Not really a big deal anwyays. if you got to a point where you stopped liking the game then whatever there's a handful of options in the MMO scene that cater to different tastes. Just have to put in some time to try them out

Black Desert
I'm in the SEA servers myself, and it's honestly the most beautiful game I've come across so far
Most of the NPCs are massive oversharers with dark humour, so that's great too.
