Apparently it was planned for the end of 2023 but there will be delays, so no information on when in 2024...

There is also the announcement of almost no new content (really very little) until 2024
Personally I think they are seriously starting to abuse, there is less and less real content to do, I just finished the seasonal event, it took me less than 20 minutes, it's disappointing as always but it's getting worse and worse

So we will have nothing really consistent this year...
In that case I would not renew my subscription anymore, if only people could boycott them this way too, they would change things.

They really take us for cash cows, paying for almost nothing makes me sad, in the past it was less bad, 9 months without anything, NINE months...
On the other hand, the store often has updates of course...

Please let's unite and boycott them if we have to, to wake them up once and for all.

No. Don't pay your subscription and start again whenever there's enough that you feel it's justifying the time and money you'll spend on it like a responsible adult. You're not going to miss out on virtually anything (as you already stated), while other people continue to enjoy their time with current and old content just fine. Seems like a much more reasonable, parsimonious and generally sane and healthy way of handling the whole thing.

There will be content, but it will be artificial like the events without any importance that are done in 5 minutes...
The last raid is a joke in terms of gameplay...
The loop of the cc seasons with rewards to make players comes, it's mostly with their mounts which make me pay a month of game and in 3 days I made it all and I farm stuff with no real interest

I must admit that this is brilliantly said, you are unfortunately right, at the time I had the impression that the player was respected a little more, it makes me think of the big streamers who live from their supporters and who often show themselves very contemptuous towards them.

Endwalker came out at the end of 2021, with there now being at least 4 months between patches, there was never any chance that 7.0 was coming out this year. It'll come in the first half of 2024.

Hell, 6.5 might not hit before January.

If you feel the game really has nothing for you right now take a break? I personally like there is a pause between stuff and it’s not constantly “go to the next big thing” this way I can do quests and level jobs I’ve not done yet

Yes I will clearly stop after the end of my subscription but the problem is that I really want to have new content, well filled like a king's meal that lasts at least 2 weeks.

We always had a new adventure every 2 years, it was always like a tradition for me, so it pisses me off that there will be nothing in 2023. The wait is way too long for me...
I could play other games and I already do, but I can't wait to see what happens next.

The last thing I had left to discover was the island and I've already done it.
Taking a break won't change my desire to see what's next, it'll just save me money but I don't really care.

Also I'm old and in bad health, I'd be devastated to kick the bucket before I've done the whole story of the game, when I read a book or play a game I like to read the story from beginning to end, I know a mmorpg is long but more than 2 years sounds bad

6.4 is projected for early may.

6.5 ought to coincide with the rising event even. The 10th anniversary no less! It would be a great way to go all out with that event.

After that, 5.5 was like 6-7 months apart from endwalker. So my guess is that 7.0 hits in like march or whenever goldenweek kicks.

I don't mind waiting. *shrugs* Personally i rather wait for good stuff with patience, when know it's gonna be good, that "content" in other games that is usually bad.

Of course i'd like to get 7.0 as fast as can, but them moving their smaller content patches also from 3 months to 4 months because they had so tight content schedule for years for their employees is understandable.

Also, "YoshiP's Unit" is pushing out the FF16 also this year, so yeah.. one can think that it also took some resources from their team to work on both. I'll be playing that game also when it's gonna come out, yes.. i'll buy a PS5 just to play it. :D

Just play other games while waiting. I see no problem with that. :) Plenty of decent games coming this year to chill with.

So 7.0 in 2024 comes like at end of first quarter most likely or at spring. No biggie.

6.4 and 6.5 i expect to bring some really hype "ending" to the EW patches and cliffhanger to the waiting of 7.0, so i'm already hyped for those updates. :)

During this year i got some "projects" planned on other games so got stuff to do while waiting also, like playing Hogwarts at some point, maybe even Elden Ring. And my current project of trying to become decent at Stellaris so i can challenge my big brother on it for multiplayer match and win him, he's a 4x strategy game gigachad galaxy brain, and if i can win - i can tease him about it forever. :D

Endwalker also took longer because it was the grand finale and they wanted to make sure it was special. And probably delays because of covid. March still sounds right, though.

I have to admit I enjoy lack of content. People will let their subscriptions lapse and that means more houses for me to snatch up. I already paid 6 months sub and I'll never let my sub expire as long as they re-activate the housing demolition timer.

EU data centers have no demolition timer.

I never let my sub run out anyways, i play even between the content patches anyways because i'm Limsa afker and nightclub enjoyer + CC ranked addict lol
