Monk or Pugilist?

So I'm almost level 30 on my Pugilist job and can start leveling a lancer for the Monk job soon, I'm wondering if it's worth going through 15 levels or if I should just stay a Pugilist?

It is. Most people will expect you to be a monk for the lvl 30 dungeons. Besides that, you get some neat skills.

It's a bit of a taboo to stay in your class rather than expand into your job.

You'll also want to level your cross classes a bit more than past 15 to get more skills, especially Lancer for Blood for Blood. It's kind of aggrivating because I play a Monk too but I really don't like Lancer, but it lets you end up doing some customization in the long run so it's neat I suppose. Monks can also take skills from Marauder and there's some useful actions there to get as well. Level Lancer to 34 and Marauder to 26(?) and you'll get all the cross-class actions you can use.

The only time you will ever stay as your class instead of your job is in PVP, where those extra cross class skills are way more essential to survival than the tiny stat boost you get from your job soul.

Thanks for the tips. I'm not a big fan of the lancer, but unfortunately it's forced. I'll get to leveling the Lancer and Marauder further if needed when I get 50 on the Monk and get adequate gear.

I don't think I'll participate in PvP often if at all, but thanks regardless.
