FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

FINAL FANTASY XIV Online

Is my PC able to run this game?
Tried to find the free trial version to test the game in the store. (Link is in the FAQ thread of the discussion page) But I couldnt find it, so I would be really appreciative if someone can tell me if this game can run on low-medium settings, I dont really expect mnedium or/and high settings to get me at least above 40 FPS.

You should have no problem being able to start it up, however your specs seem to be under average for FFXIV, especially with stormblood just out. If I were you, it would maybe be wise to grab the benchmark from FFXIV's site, or just go google it. Using that program will help you see what kind of gameplay your computer can take, and whether it would be worth to purchase the game. Integrated graphics are mostly hit or miss when it comes to games like this, although some of my friends have had a playable experience with them, although quality may not be up to par. If by chance you have a PS4, you can grab it on there without sacrificing much, but other than that, I would say your chances of running the game are good, but frames and quality may suffer. Do note your driver for graphics are out of date by a long shot too, about two years. Might want to update those before giving FFXIV a whirl, as updated drivers may improve performance.

Yeah I do have a PS4, I heard it's cross-platformed, so the mostly I'll be getting the PS4 version, since thats what I do with games that I cant run on my PC. If I updated my driver, my PC wont be able to use my AMD instead of the Intel, because the new upadated AMD driver is bugged in which my PC wont recognize it. As a result I had to downgrade it to the previus version. Thanks for the info.

He DOES have an egpu in his laptop though: the R5 M200.

That said I'm not sure if it will be playable, the benchmark and trial are good free choices to try and run it and see how well it performs.

Is the demo and online free trial the same?
The benchmark is not the same as a free trial, benchmark is only to test your PC specs and find the result. The trial is to actually play the game.
R5 M200 isn't an eGPU (external GPU), it's a dGPU (dedicated GPU). eGPU is referred to the nowsomewhat common Thunderbolt GPU box with its own PSU, there are other cheaper alternative to the box too. Either way the dGPU is still not very good so don't expect much.
Ah I see, gonna keep that mind. Thx.

Yes. In fact, you shouldn't see 'demo' anymore. Just 'Free-trial'.

Also it's the entire base game. The limitations are from your account status. Not the game client. It's the best way to see if your system can run the game well.
