Still running into the "Exception Detected" error

I have tried everything I can think of to get the game to run, but I'm not even getting to the main menu. I've tried running the game as administrator, tried changing the compatibility to Windows XP, running the game in a reduced color mode, and tried turning down the shadow quality. I really just wanted to play this game, but nothing has worked. If anyone has any further solutions, I'd be glad to hear them.

inquire about the killah fix, him and several others can help. Don't give up it will work out and you will be glad it did. it is a very cool exp. just trust me. I would help you more but I was graced with killah's personal help for which i'm eternally grateful.

Bro, had this same problem for years now and I just did killah's fix and I still can't get the siege to work :( How do you contact killah?

I looked up Killah's fix and I'm still getting nowhere. I'm to the point where I think the game is just unplayable for me.

I was in the same boat as you - nothing worked for me, DS would not start up at all. But last night I finally got DS to run. The issue was because my monitor's native resolution is 3440x1440. Even when I used DSVideoConfig to set the game resolution to 800x600, DS would not start up. But with the use of dgVoodoo, I was able to set the driver to support resolution greater than 1080p and get DS to start.

I was able to fix this error by changing two specific game options. I wrote it in a guide for future reference.
