Why does everyone hate Alphys?

I can get that she essentially created Flowey, and that's pretty awful, but otherwise I found her quite an enjoyable character. Like, from the first Mettaton fight I fell in love with the character. (Not literally, obviously.) But on online forums such as these, people treat her like garbage, like she should literally not exist, and I can't wrap my head around why exactly.

NOTE: I have, in fact, completed the True Pacifist Run, and therefore have read all the entries in the True Laboratory, however this doesn't change my opinion on her. She screwed up, and screwed up badly, but I feel her mistakes don't define who she is as a weeaboo dinosaur.

Well, Ashley may appear as a sweet girl, but she actually refuses to open the door for Chris when he is being chased by a wendigo if the guy prefers to save himself instead of her (the scene with the gun). I mean, it's clearly not the same thing. She intentionally leaves him to die while watching the entire thing :p

Well, what WAS Ashley's crush had tried to kill her. She would of let Chris in if she had, like, a 15-30 second thought about this. But she didn't have that time. You know how Wendigos are.

She, herself, tells him to shoot her if the player decides to first point the gun at Chris. If after that you decide to actually shoot her, she still won't open the door for him. Where is the logic? And yeah, we are talking about a crush here, not that many people would sacrifice themselves for that. Anyway, she watches with a perfectly straight face Chris being mutilated by a wendigo :3

It's a good thing I never killed Undyne or Mettaton. Sidenote, I didn't know they were referencing Alphys' implied suicide! I thought it was either nothing, or had to do with Self-Harm, which made me care for her even more because the friends I had that were essentially the same as Alphys ALSO self-harmed.

At the end of the True Lab when Alphys talks about the Amalgamates, Alphys hints that she was going to attempt suicide but backed out in order to do the right thing and bring the Amalgamates back to their proper families. And even though it would be difficult for her to stick around and tell the truth, she'd remain strong with her friends to back her up.

If you call Undyne at the garbage dump near the waterfall abyss, Undyne talks about when she first met Alphys. It's implied that Alphys was ready to commit suicide. But Undyne talking to Alphys prevented Alphys from going through with it.

When you spare Mettaton EX , Alphys implies that she would have committed suicide. She would have blamed herself for Mettaton's death. She knows Mettaton's death would have been permanent since it's a ghost monster possessing a robot body.
Alphys: Mettaton! Mettaton, are you... ...thank GOD, it's just the batteries. Mettaton, if you were gone, I would have... I would have... ... I m-mean, h-hey, it's n-no problem, you know? He's just a robot, if you messed it up, I c-could always... J-just build another.

Endings where it's stated that Alphys "disappears," meaning that Alphys actually goes through with it:
- Family Neutral ending (must kill Mettaton)
- Toriel Neutral ending (must kill Mettaton and leave Undyne alive)
- Mettaton Neutral ending
- Papyrus Neutral ending

In the Alphys Neutral ending, a failed Genocide route (where you fight Undyne the Undying and fail to kill enough monsters in Hotland/the CORE), Alphys got a call from Undyne. Undyne called with crazed desperation in her voice, which is what motivated Alphys to evacuate everyone. This is also why she doesn't commit suicide because the player murdering people is what motivated Alphys to become a better person.

Alphys Neutral ending:
Alphys: So... you're the one who killed all my friends. I just called to tell you. I hate you. Yet... strangely... It's because of you, that... That I was forced to become a better person. When I first saw you hurting people... I just sat there. Watching you. I felt so guilty knowing I hadn't do anything to stop you. I felt like all I do was... Was hope you would destroy me, too. But when Undyne called, with crazed desperation in her voice... I... I realized I had to do something. Even if it meant everybody would... Have to learn the truth about me. It's strange. You know? Even after all the bad things I did. People treated me like a hero. And then they... Asked me to run everything. So I'm trying my best, here. I think I have some good policies, but, y-you know... Talking to people still makes me nervous. I'm no ASGORE, you know? ... God... I miss everyone. Now that they're gone, it... It feels so clear what I should have done. What I should have said. Look, Alphys is a lot worse.
Hapstablook asked her for a body. Alphys gave it to her, and added anti-human combat features. Think about it, if a doctor approached you, giving you a solution to escape death, you took it, then secretly modified you, what would you feel? Someone didn't take ethics lessons.

And it goes deeper, if you believe in Undyne's determination theory, Alphys gave Undyne pink "ice-cream", made from seaweed. One of the fallen child probably died in the seaweed, and Alphys harvested the determination and secretly shoved it to Undyne! Undyne became Alphy's test subject unknowingly. Again, if your friend gave some ice-cream to you, but without you knowing, the ice-cream is actually something else that monitors you, changes your behavior, what would you feel?

Alphys is truly a mad-scientist.

Your just using characters and comparing them first of all, and who said I liked Papyrus if anything he is my second least favorite.Then, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the status updates happen frequently and happen in short times of eachother instead of being a continuous line so you feel like you can go but then she updates stopping you, that is annoying. Also never did i say papyrus was a great dude! You are just taking what the community thinks and saying I am just like everyone else and think papyrus is amazing and cool when in reality you have no flaws in my statement and you find flaws in the community.
