You’ve already messed up genocide somewhere if Monster Kid falls off the bridge at all.

Genocide requires you to go out of your way to grind each section of the game before killing the boss of it.

There’s a point in each section where monsters will no longer spawn, and you instead get an encounter that is a black screen saying “But nobody came.”

For the Ruins, it’s 20 monsters starting at the point Toriel leaves you on your own.

After you first meet Sans with a successful genocide start, save points will tell you how many kills you have before the next major boss.

Then I don't think it's a genocide run. Cuz I just beat Undyne in genocide and I didn't have to save him because he didn't fall.

In a Genocide Route, the game will force you to attack the Monster Kid. Good luck striking down an innocent child. If you didn't commence a battle screen with the Monster Kid, you didn't kill enough in each level.
