Does anyone know how to get Roses and Wine working on Steam Deck?
I was able to install Tonberry with the help of protontricks and a few mods. Great. Now I want some remixed music. Roses and Wine seems like it's highly rated, so I wanted to try it. But when I installed it, the music was removed from the game, and I only get sounds. Here's what I've done so far:

- Switched my Steam Deck to Desktop Mode
- Installed Protontricks from the Discover Center
- Used Protontricks to execute the Roses and Wine install from thereunion.live website
- Correctly identified my Final Fantasy VIII directory and installed all Professional music
- Now when I play the game, I have no music.

I saw this post from Rodomar705 (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3390841235) which suggests that I might need to adjust the winecfg in the game to enable ddraw.dll, however when I execute winecfg, I only get the option to add a new override for the library ddrawex, but not ddraw.

I also saw a post from Skizzlok in ProtonDB (https://www.protondb.com/app/39150) that suggests that directmusic might be able to fix this type of music issue. But after following those directions, I just got a lot of deprecated messages, a few dlls added, but the music still doesn't work.

Is there a way to manually install Roses and Wine? I'm wondering if maybe the install file is messing up in the installation on the Steam Deck in a way that it doesn't mess up when I install it on a Windows system.

I solved it! Yay!

So the last thing I did that made it work, was I went into Properties->General->Launch Options and added the following text:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="ddraw=n,b" %command%

One thing I did before that, which may have affected it, was that when I was in Desktop Mode, I did the following:
- Navigated to steamapps/compatdata/39150/pfx/
- Opened the file "user.reg"
- Under the heading "[Software\\Wine\\DllOverrides]" (pretty far into the file, I needed to use the "Find" option), I then added the line "ddraw"="native,builtin"

So one, or both, of these things worked for me. ^_^
