Survivor vs Seasoned Raider difficulty?
Just picked up the game and I'm stuck between these two difficulty settings. Only thing in Survivor I'm worried about is the need for extra resources for upgrades. How bad is it? And is it overwhelming?

I'm reading arguments from both sides saying to just chose Seasoned Raider over Survivor and vice-versa. Anyone have any thoughts?

I played Extreme Survivor (the last difficulty coming with 20th Anniversary) and I have no idea what the big deal is - I felt like every upgrade was just the same as in my first run on Normal, and I end up with most weapons maxed out without grinding at all.

Maybe you'll need, like, 8 pelt instead of 6? Woooah, really survivor...

I played through the first time on Survivor and didn't find it hard.

Now playing through on Extreme Survivor and resources are a bit more scarce but not an issue so far. Combat sections are touigher though, she takes a lot more damage and it's harder to get headshots. Disappointed that you can still use Survival Instincts in this mode though.

finished it in survivor difficulty and feels just right. not too hard and not too easy. Just remember to turn survivor insticnts off for that makes the game too easy

I'm having an odd issue, I forgot to pick up enough wood and can't make a campfire. I'm assuming there is wood later on right?

Supposedly that's the beauty of Extreme. If you don't use your resources wisely, i.e., not lighting fires you're not going to use (yes, yes I know...I wanted ever fire lite, but didn't have the resources) you never will be able to light a fire. At least that was the case for me.

On survivor do large animals respawn?

if you haven't played through it before, start with extreme survior is not a good idea, since you might die accidentally and lose progress and all loots since last bonfire location.

Some do. The first bear (in Siberia) respawns. I know the bear in The Bath's Tomb does not.

Survivor feels like "normal difficulty" tbh. The lower amount resources is a good thing as there is way too much to pick up in lower difficulties, literally every 10 seconds you are picking something up. It feels monotonous and detracts from the game imo.
