DRM free version!? (Well, the Steam version is actually DRM-free too)
Is there supposed to be a DRM- free version?
I though Fruit Bait said they were gonna release it in the previous week. :<

Turns out we had some patching to do, and we want to get those out of the way before making an instantly outdated standalone build.

Steam makes auto-updating easy.

Still not out yet, the DRM-free ver?
This game received an update a week ago, so I though the problem should be fixed by now

The DRM-free version is out and available from our store.

I pre-order the game from fruitbaitfactor...
Should it be available here?
http://fruitbatfactory.com/sora/
All I see is the "Coming Soon"

If you have pre-ordered the game, you can e-mail us at support@fruitbatfactory.com with your order number and I should be able to re-send the purchase info which will have the download link.

Is there a way to get the DRM-free version if I bought the Steam version before the DRM-free version was available?

Actually, DRM-free version is available for those who bought it from fruitbait factory page. (meaning you get a Steam key and a DRM-free version, which i'm using to practice my a$$ off)

I see; however, I didn't buy the game from the Fruitbat Factory page, I bought it from the Steam storefront. I suppose I could try to get a refund (I have under 2 hours in the game so far, but I purchased it over 14 days ago, so I'm not sure how that'll go) and repurchase it from their page, but I'm wondering if that's the best approach.

By the way does this have drm on steam version, or can I run this without steam?
basically no drm? I know a lot of steam games dont have drm, I like those.

Look, the Steam Client itself is like DRM manager so the Steam version is not DRM-free
...
Yup, that bs is pretty much what many people will say about any game on Steam. Well, my IQ is high enough though. For the Sora Steam version... YES, it's DRM-free.
You DO NOT needs Steam client running to run the game (but it still needs file "steam_api.dll" though, well, doesn't matter much, just like that file is a core part of the game now).
Thanks for asking,as I have just checked it. In short, Fruitbait provided 2 DRM-free versions for the users who bought it from their store and a DRM-free version fro Steam buyer.

Sadly the Steam version is not DRM-free anymore thanks to the new v1.2.7. update... The only way to get DRM-free build back on Steam is to download an older version of the game.
