I died at the same time Hime did, but the cutscene still triggered and I was able to fight Suguri. I still died in one hit on her.
Lost save data and game is severely bugged when trying to play through again.
So I came back from work and loaded up Sora. It started playing the opening cinematic and it wouldn't let me skip it even though I had beaten this game before. My save file disappeared for some reason. I restarted the game, sat through the opening cinematic this time, and played through the first stage. It took me to the title screen where instead of saying Sora | Suguri II, it just said Sora. I went to check Story mode. Both the tutorial and stage 1 were unselectable (y' know, the gray static stuff), but stage 2 was selectable. I played through stage 2, which unlocked stage 3, but stage 1 and the tutorial were still locked. If I try to switch weapons from the default loadout where there is no other weapon unlocked, the game crashes. When I had completed stage 2, I unlocked a weapon. I was able to switch to it, but it wouldn't let me switch back to the default weapon after I switched to Buster.
So yeah, a lot of weird stuff is happening with my game. I don't care as much about the save data that I had lost as much as I do the game bugging out severly, but it would be nice if someone could look into my problem and hopefully provide a solution. Thank you for your time!
EDIT: Yes, I have tried verifying the game cache. Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. The results above persist.
If your save data is lost, though, I think all you can do is remove your currentsave data, which is stored in your Documents folder, under "Fruitbat Factory".
I still have my record of score and I can still view the saved replay though.
I recently started playing this game, and it works just fine the first time. Then because I thought I would try the game with a gamepad, I installed SCP.
Then because reasons I cannot fathom this somehow froze my computer and prevented me from entering windows when I restart, so I ran a sytem recovery and reinstalled SCP, successfully this time.
Because the game was installed long before that, I run the game immediately then. But now it would default on 640x480 window mode and I cannot input anything, not even with a keyboard.
I reinstalled the game, still same issue. Tried QPD, and controller's working just fine there. I tried to run Sora again with the pad unplugged but it's still unresponsive to any input.
What's going on here?
We're considering upgrading Sora to DirectX 9, like we did with 100% Orange Juice recently. It might improve the performance. Can't make any promises on that, though - even if we do it, it might turn out to cause some unforeseeable problems and not end up released.
What particularly confuses me is that my Shield Bonus, Damage Bonus etc. don't seem to add up to 22,846 in any combination, so I'm a bit puzzled what may have gone wrong there.
This makes it so I'm unable to record the game with my usual setup. Is there any solution to this besides trying other recording software?
