What does it mean when faces are popped up?

When something happens or said you see a pop up with the face they refeer to.
what does this pop up means? i tend to think it when they have +xtra like of something. right? does it really have any impact?

oh, and how can I reverse conversations? because the auto save ruined a lost conversation i wanted to repeat :(

i believe is has to do with your relationships with the other characters and the ending you get

I dont understand why there isnt a clear answer about that anywhere. the developers should take care of it. Do we acctually need to make assumptions? its silly :|||||

I thought it was pretty obvious. It means their affection for that person has changed. Whether or not it was for good or bad, is up to you to infer...

My understanding is that faces mean that One Character reacts to Another, liking or disliking him/her. Like in some visual novels there's hidden "reputation meter", in fate/stay night for example, which affects the ending/routes.

Ah....so just a relationship change in general. That's a little confusing, that means it could mean anything when it appears lol. Oh well.

Yeah, that's just pretty much an indicator that the person's opinion about you has changed. It also could be kind of a "So-and-So will remember that." type of thing, a la TellTale games.

I really want to know how the relationship system works under the hood, because it appears from the little glimpses we get that it's much more comlex than a simple yes/no branching thing...but they haven't said much so far.

I'd really love some sort of relationship stat page (maybe you have to play through once to unlock it, idk) because I was really annoyed that Ren pretty much said we'd broken our friendship, even though I saved him first AND hooked him up with Nona. What gives, dude?
