How do you save and restore ?
I've seen people talking about using death tombs to get the weapons they wan't, by doing a restore if chests/racks don't give you what you are looking for.

But from my experience with Valgrim I couldn't do that. I'd made a game save right before speaking to him, made some purchases, didn't like what I was given so quit and did a reload... but it must have made it's own save as I was at the same point right AFTER I'd talked to him.

So, how do people restore ? Do you have to find the save file location on the PC and backup, then copy them back ? And does it work if using Steam Cloud ?

You really should be able to just save before going into the death tomb, then go in and quit out if you don't get what you want. Just make sure you don't hit any auto save points.

Thanks guys. I found the save locations. But how do you avoid the auto save points ? I tried to quit to menu/reload after a visit to Vulgrim when buying a possessed weapon, but it had saved my purchase.

I'm usually one of these people that just accept what a game deals you. But I'm level 18 now and the only possessed scythes I have are level 4 and 5 !! Thankfully I've got some of those special reward scythes that I can use instead.

I did get lucky with a 1000 gilt / 1 stonebite purchase as I got a possessed (fast) secondary weapon early on, which I've beefed up quite well. But I'd like to get a decent possessed scythe so I can upgrade it with all my nice level 15+ weapons I have !!

I went to the 2nd death tomb and just took a chance it would turn out OK. Despite all the racks of weapons I demolished I only got 1 possessed weapon. Thankfully it was a level 18 double scythe - at last !!

Strange thing I found out while doing some upgrades is that if you drop a possessed weapon and pick it up again it is reset to 0 levels upgraded. It kept all it's previous attributes, but I was able to level it up again so increase the values of the existing attributes. Surely this is a bug, rather than expected behaviour ?

You really need to use the Demonheart Talisman to get Possessed Weapons easily. It's in one of the Death Tombs I think. Also, you should make sure that your possessed weapon has a good damage stat and either no pre-existing stats or only good pre-existing stats. You can figure out what's a good damage stat by resetting a bunch, finding a bunch of different weapons that are the same level and type (scythes, light, or heavy) and seeing what's a high damage number for them.

Resetting a possessed weapon's levels by dropping it is definitely a glitch.

Ah, missed a trick with the Deamonheart Talisman as that was in the tomb I just raided - Something to remember for tomb 3 !!
But what is the trick with the demonheart? Cos i've been wearing it and not found any higher amount of possessed weapons.

It only affects white item drops. It has a chance to change a white item drop into a possessed weapon (you won't see anything to indicate that this is what happened in game, a possessed weapon will just drop). White item drops were significantly reduced in the Deathinitive (to cut down on useless crap that just took up inventory space so you could sell it for cash) so the Demonheart Talisman won't have as much of an impact.
