Game crashing during the boss fight in Argul's Tomb
Game freezes everytime I try to fight the frostwyrm. Happened three times now. Pretty tough boss, how he not only freezes your character, but also the game.

One bit of advice I saw (about the main game, but may apply to the DLC) was to turn off the damage numbers as this can cause problems when high critical hits are scored. Apparently all the numbers just get too much and the game crashes.

Everybody just copy paste this on any thread with problems, just a quick guide of what to do at first before posting a thread about a problem:
Here's a simple bug-fix and stutter-fix guide:
- disable damage indicators
- set the shadow quality to medium, not to maximum
- disable in-game vsync and use video card vsync
- switch from release to beta or vice versa(from steam game properties, the Beta tab and then in the list that has as defaut Opt out)

None of this worked.

Neither to me. Did you fix it?

Nope. Just had to skip it.

Just as a quick thing to try. I had this crash on me consistently (10+ times). Tried all the fixes (shadows off, deleted the options files in two different places,..., even went to the Beta) to no avail. I tossed my controller in frustration (no damage thankfully). My son asked if he could give it a go, I said "what do I have to lose?". Long story short, it crashed a few times on him also. Until through trial and error, he unequipped the gun (replaced it in the upper right with the grabber hand) and made a very conscious effort to not attack WITH ANYTHING (crows, coffin lackeys, anything) during and just after the boss's slow motion animation. He waited patiently, not attacking again until the boss got his health bar back. First try, boom. Frosty the dragon was defeated and was able to watch the boss's ending cut scene. Right after SAVE, SAVE, SAVE, BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP. It seems to work just fine now. Even though you don't damage him during this time, it seemed to be that if you even try attacked during his invincibility frames, the game has a much higher chance of crashing. Just my 2 cents.

I found a fix for this that stabilized the game entirely, I turned off the steam overlay and haven't had a crash since. I reenabled the damage and turned shadows back up and it has been running fine. I figured since I have been trying to figure this crashing issue for some time I would drop it here in case, so anyone else is finding no help anywhere like I was can maybe get some.

Ghostwolf, thanks for the info. If I have any more issues, I'll try turning the Steam Overlay off. Again, thanks.

THIS is the only thing that worked for me.
