Oh thank god!
And thank you! :D
The graphics make the game feel like an upscaled old game, instead of a modern one. Not bad, but they could have done better (see Deponia games or any of the other Daedalic ones). I still prefer this over Monkey Island, where they added more detail, but changed the original style quite drastically.
Well it must of been, because the new graphics are hand drawn
There is a difference between creating new hand drawn art and "copy" existing art. The new graphics are not "drawn", they are "clicked" (vector points). You dont need to be an artist to do that, you need to be a graphic designer/Illustrator. Broken age has hand drawn graphics and the artists are much more expensive than some interns who just graduated from art school clicking vector shapes.
If you see pixelation of the background when the game zooms in, it means the background is an image and not, like DOTT, vector shapes.
By the way: You can play the game with the combination of oldgraphics/new music/new control scheme, which is great too for widescreen.
I don't have issues with the art, but the controls somehow I was hoping for better. I always feel like something should happen when I click on an item, or double click, I don't like hangeling through right click select from menu left click. Or perhaps switch the action icon with a mousewheel. But oh well.
And I can tell you that switching the actions with mouse wheel or right click is a horrendous way of playing an adventure game. If you do not believe me, try Sam and Max.
