PS4 Controller not working properly in-game

Hi, I am trying to play CSD2 using my ps4 controller but it does not seem to be working correctly. It works just fine in other steam games, so I am quite sure that my controller is fine. Is there some sort of bug that is affecting using the controllers right now?

Any help would be appreciated!

Is it not detecting a few buttons or is it completely unresponsive? Have you tried using it in Big Picture mode?

On the main menu screen (and the in-game pause menu) it only responds to me pressing square, and I can use X to go back. The d-pads don't seem to respond and the buttons are mapped all weirdly. When it tells me to press X, I'll press X and it will act as square. Similarly, square maps to circle, and circle maps to X. Triangle seems to be the only button properly mapped. The joysticks and the left and right triggers only work inside the main game, and nothing but square and X works when in any of the menus.


Do you know what I can do to fix this? The same thing happens to me in big picture mode.

Are you using a third party driver like DS4Windows?

Nope, this is using the mac's inbuilt driver for the dualshock 4

Ah yeah I have had issues with Mac regarding DS4 usage. Have you tried registering the controller on Steam via Big Picture? Go to Big Picture, then Settings and Controller Settings and toggle PS4 functionality on.
