I am glad I am not the only one with this problem, borderless window resolutions work fine, every single other resolution in combination with windowed or fullscreen just gets messed up eventually (by trying to set another resolution or after restarting game).
The only "fix" after having a messed up resolution is to set a borderless window with the resolution I want, then apply, then change to windowed mode, then apply, sadly this has to be done after every restart, as starting in windowed or fullscreen messes up everything again.
PC Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
Nvidia GTX 1060
The only temporary fix I've managed is to launch the game with a controller already connected, navigate to the graphics menu and change it to borderless windowed mode, then change it to regular windowed mode to be able to move the window where I please, then setting it to my desired resolution.
If I attempt this with keyboard and mouse the controls freak out on me when I change the resolution and reverts it to borderless windowed mode stuck in the top left of my screen, and the controls then become unresponsive, forcing me to Alt+F4.
Once in the game proper I'll play for however long, and then save and quit. But next time I launch the game it will not have saved the graphics settings and I have to do the above "fix" all over again. :/
It's been nearly 3 months, with 3 different updates already having been released, yet none have resolved this issue.
Can anyone who had that problem confirm if it has been resolved?
Temporary fix: Change the screen setting to actually be full screen. Apply. Then switch back to windowed. Apply. Fixed until the next time the game is launched.
It's annoying for like 30 seconds and not worth refunding for imho. And as long as I don't touch the resolution settings while I do this, the guessing game with the mouse can be avoided.
While this bug isn't game breaking, it is annoying. It is more concerning, however, to see that this has been a bug since November 2017 and hasn't been resolved through several updates. Really considering refunding.
Yep, that's the only one. Sound, serve with spacebar, page turn with mouse wheel, alternate graphics for bug traps etc., ingredient font, and whatever other options I can't recall right now are unaffected.
One thing recently changed in that it no longer starts in fullscreen but instead is one big window that doesn't match the resolution I chose and takes up my whole screen. I fix it the same way as before.
Sorry for the late reply!
This works only for the time you're playing the game. After exit and restart, the game goes again into Window-fullscreen so you have to do it everytime you launch the game.
