Resolution and screen size problems
I prefer playing CSD as a smaller-than-fullscreen-sized window and in windowed mode, so I want to use (for example) resolution 1366x768 and screen mode windowed. Once these settings are applied, the game keeps them. However, when I start up the game next time it starts as a forced fullscreen-sized window with the same smaller resolution, meaning everything is blurry. I can't resize the window, and the game only reverts to the "correct" size when I change screen mode to borderless.

If I change the resolution while the game is in its forced fullscreen windowed mode, it still stays as fullscreen, with the difference that the menu options aren't clickable when my mouse actually hovers over them, meaning I have to seek out the random spot where the game thinks my mouse is hovering over the option. A fix would be appreciated.

Having same problem, hoping to play in 1600x900 window. Considering refunding.

I will look into this and try to have it fixed by v1.6, apologies for the bug!

Thank you for answering! And yes, it's the Windows version for me as well.

I have the exact same issue as the original poster, which was a big enough issue for me sothat I had to request a refund.
I am glad I am not the only one with this problem, borderless window resolutions work fine, every single other resolution in combination with windowed or fullscreen just gets messed up eventually (by trying to set another resolution or after restarting game).
The only "fix" after having a messed up resolution is to set a borderless window with the resolution I want, then apply, then change to windowed mode, then apply, sadly this has to be done after every restart, as starting in windowed or fullscreen messes up everything again.

I've had this exact problem since Nov 30, 2017. I even started my own discussion for it and never got a response.

The only temporary fix I've managed is to launch the game with a controller already connected, navigate to the graphics menu and change it to borderless windowed mode, then change it to regular windowed mode to be able to move the window where I please, then setting it to my desired resolution.

If I attempt this with keyboard and mouse the controls freak out on me when I change the resolution and reverts it to borderless windowed mode stuck in the top left of my screen, and the controls then become unresponsive, forcing me to Alt+F4.

Once in the game proper I'll play for however long, and then save and quit. But next time I launch the game it will not have saved the graphics settings and I have to do the above "fix" all over again. :/

It's been nearly 3 months, with 3 different updates already having been released, yet none have resolved this issue.

I read that patch 1.6 is out and the screen resolution bug should be fixed now.
Can anyone who had that problem confirm if it has been resolved?

Issue is still present in the Windows version (Win10, if it matters). I play in windowed mode and on start up I get forced into full screen with my choosed resolution making everything blurry.

Temporary fix: Change the screen setting to actually be full screen. Apply. Then switch back to windowed. Apply. Fixed until the next time the game is launched.

It's annoying for like 30 seconds and not worth refunding for imho. And as long as I don't touch the resolution settings while I do this, the guessing game with the mouse can be avoided.

@Agan, that is so strange, is this the only option from the Options menu that is not being saved?

Just launched the game for the second time (Windows 10). The first time I launched the game I set it to 1600x900 windowed, and on the second startup the game was windowed 1600x900 but full screen as well, making everything blurry. Mouse pointer was out of sync with the screen. Killed the process, deleted the AppData CSD2_Op.ini file, restarted the game, which then started like it did the first time.

While this bug isn't game breaking, it is annoying. It is more concerning, however, to see that this has been a bug since November 2017 and hasn't been resolved through several updates. Really considering refunding.

Yep, that's the only one. Sound, serve with spacebar, page turn with mouse wheel, alternate graphics for bug traps etc., ingredient font, and whatever other options I can't recall right now are unaffected.

One thing recently changed in that it no longer starts in fullscreen but instead is one big window that doesn't match the resolution I chose and takes up my whole screen. I fix it the same way as before.

Sorry for the late reply!

Another report of this quite annoying bug. A temporary solution is to put the game in "borderless window", which seems to work properly (for now) and then back in "Windowed" more. There's still a glitch because the window is mesed up but if you maximise-resize, it will be "cleaned".
This works only for the time you're playing the game. After exit and restart, the game goes again into Window-fullscreen so you have to do it everytime you launch the game.

The reason this bug isn’t fixed is because I can’t replicate it on any of my machines. What resolutions are y’all running? I will get to the bottom of this, apologies for the issue.

1920x1080. I have several monitors set up and connected, but that one is my main gaming screen.
