Keep in mind that this ONLY affects orders placed AFTER the salad is ready - it won't extend the wait time of requests already on the screen.
And for Immortality, win the game blindfolded!!!
Or you can do the single one first and then the double, since the game won't let you place more than three total. Even if you accidentally tap M a third time, nothing will happen.
True but this incrues the potetial risk of doubleing up on the single item. If you accidently double press the double item there is no problem
I suppose I get what you're saying -- if you're alternating keys, then you don't have the urge to double-press any of them. But I've never had any trouble hitting the single items once. This must be a YMMV situation. For me it's much easier to set it up so that I can tap the double at the end with impunity than to figure out the alternating order at a glance.
I've learnt to stagnate the side dishes because they do get picked up every time after a major order no matter what type of side dish it is. Sometimes if the orders are very fast I prioritise deep fry side orders, rice and soups because the quantity is much larger. Side orders like salads and fruit salad are better to do during rush hour if you run out halfway.
When there are only 4 slots and they are all occupied (3 slots with prep orders, 1 slot with a side order), I just wait until the side order is cooked before I serve. It does back up the orders though, but my fingers can rest so I'm not really fussed.
I've found the Chinese Finger Trap achievement (Chinese restaurant gold medal for shift 1) to be really difficult/confusing for me. The key bindings swap around between O for Oil and O for Soy Sauce from the marination stage to the assembling stage. Same with the E binding and the C for sCallions vs. S for Snow peas.
Is this going to be a collab to publish a guide? There's none up at the moment so I'm hanging out to see when the first one comes out.
Honestly i have never written anything like this before, but after a week of nothing like ths appearing i felt i could at least get the ball rolling. From a more selfish prespective i was hoping to simply "trade" tips for my own gain
Trade? Well ok, it's early days. I'm interested in publishing something like a guide or a tip list eventually. It's a big / tough game though so it does need a bit of scope or a theme. There's enough room for different technique styles to develop. I'm still just figuring out how to do fast orders on 11 slots and 9 prep slots.
"12. Orders always come in from top to bottom and always try to fill the highest slot possible. To avoide accidently neglecting orders in the lower slots try to always work from top to bottom in rounds. If an order comes in above the one you just completed ignor it and continue down."
This is not strictly true. The game tries to keep an order for you but will revert to highest slot after a time. The idea that you should keep in your mind where you are in the list of orders holds true though.
The zen of CSD is to slow down the mind, not the action.
